What a wonderful location! Everything about our stay (bachelorette trip) was immaculate. The hosts were extremely communicative. The house is listed as a "wellness escape" and that's exactly what it is. We enjoyed time in the hot tub, sauna and even had a private yoga instructor come in to teach a class. She commented on what a great job the owners did outfitting the yoga studio. Will absolutely stay here again!

Beautiful, well stocked LKN home

One of the most thoughtfully decorated and stocked homes I’ve had the pleasure of staying at! The hosts were super responsive to our requests. The house is brand new. Pots, pans, workout room, even a spare tooth brush in case you needed it is provided. We docked our 24 ft pontoon at the private dock and enjoyed the paddle boards. I highly recommend this property for your stay.

We had such a wonderful stay at this property, truly one of the most relaxing and enjoyable spring breaks we’ve had. The house was spotless, beautifully maintained, and incredibly well stocked with everything we needed to feel right at home.The owner was fantastic, very responsive, attentive, and clearly cares about making sure guests have a great experience. Their taste in decor and furnishings is A - beds are super comfortable!!!!!There was something for everyone. The kids had an absolute blast with the paddle boards and kayaks, while the adults loved unwinding in the sauna and taking refreshing dips in the “cold plunge” lake. We also rented a boat for a few days, which made it even more special to cruise around and take in the scenery. A stop at the Blue Parrot was a fun highlight as well.Overall, it was a simple, serene, and memorable getaway.

The house was beautiful. We had a great time bringing in the New year, here. The game room was super fun, as well as the family board games, provided. Loved the sauna and hot tub. Great laundry room. I particularly Liked the kitchen appliances: coffee makers, air fryer, toaster, and the nice dishes and pots/pans. I appreciate that we were provided with quality items in the house. Only one of us did kayaking since it was too cold, but that is another great option, provided. Lauren, was an excellent host!

The house is a perfect retreat. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate the family. Bonus rooms include the game room and the yoga nook. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, cookware, appliances, coffee makers, etc. Bedding is very comfortable. The hot tub heats well. The property is situated on a quiet alcove on the lake. Overall great experience and would recommend this place to enjoy your time away

As a mixed family of 5 with kids ranging from 6 to 30, we know what it takes to keep everyone entertained and how important it is to connect as a family. We hope to create those opportunities for you with FoxTail Retreat!

Why they chose this property

We searched all around Lake Norman for the perfect spot. We knew that we wanted to be away from the hustle & bustle and party-scene of the Mooresville area to find special place that is peaceful and surrounded by nature. This is our special escape, where we and our family like to steal away for relaxation and family fun. We curated special experiences for everyone here. Lauren is a morning person, so I love a peaceful paddle in our quiet cove at sunrise. Ed prefers to sleep in and savor his coffee on the deck with a view of the lake or sneak away for some fishing. Our older kids enjoy all the activities the lake has to offer and often get into heated competition on the air hockey or ping pong table. Even our littlest one can get into the act with the Nintendo Switch or the kids' kayaks. At the end of the day, the hot tub and sauna are hot commodities in our family or s'mores at the fire pit.

What makes this property unique

The wooded lot gives plenty of lake views, but also a ton of shade that you don't get on some of the other properties. We're in a no-wake cove off the main channel, so it's quieter and also easier for kids or people new to paddle boarding to get comfortable on the water. Of course, the hot tub and sauna are very unique as well and the lake bends into our property, so when you're in the sauna, the lake is SO CLOSE and you have a beautiful view through the glass front. The yoga room is another highlight, with everything you need to practice yoga or meditation or get in some cardio on the Peleton bike.
