House of Anzen is a wonderful place to stay in the Marina District. The full-floor, private-outdoor-entry flat is spacious, very quiet, and packed with conveniences. The kitchen is fully equipped for gourmet cooking with high-end appliances. There is a useful washer-dryer combination, an extremely comfortable king-sized bed, and a large bathroom that even has a heated toilet seat! The ample windows and third-floor location make the living space brightly lit. It is worth watching the instructional videos on the features of the House that host Mirela sends. The Rico Way location of the House is a quiet, safe area that lacks the noisy bustle and traffic of many San Francisco neighborhoods. We slept undisturbed with open windows. Overall, we found the location to be ideal for extended walking explorations in all directions. The nearby Marina Safeway has an outstanding selection of food and beverages and there are several specialty shops along nearby Chestnut. It’s also convenient for car travel as you can drive to Marin County in only 15 minutes. We were concerned about parking when we rented the House, but as host Mirela had assured us, it is truly only a minor issue. The key is to use the free public parking at Marina Green during the weekdays when street parking in the neighborhood is limited to 2 hours. We always found spaces during the week that were only a 5-minute walk back to the House. Overnight, we were able to find parking on Rico or nearby Avila.
