About this property
Lake Champlain Beachfront Retreat
Simplicity, relaxation and fun await at this timeless cottage on the beach. With all the comforts and amenities thoughtfully considered you'll find yourself conveniently perched directly on your private sandy beach with pristine unobstructed views of Lake Champlain, the Green Mountains of Vermont and the Adirondack Mountains of New York. It's idyllic in every way.
This quaint and comfortable three-bedroom cottage sleeps up to seven guests. You'll enjoy a beautifully updated kitchen and bath. Relax on the sand or soak up the sun on the deck. Prefer to unwind in the hammock or head out on the water? You’ll find a stand-up paddle board, two kayaks, water floats, and a variety of games ready for your adventure.
Just minutes away, you'll find the Colchester Town park offering basketball, tennis and pickleball courts. Even closer is access to the Island Line Trail. Connecting the Colchester Causeway (widely recognized as the longest over-water, non-motorized causeway in the world) with Burlington Bike Path, in total the rail-trail covers 13.4 miles (21.6 km) from South Hero Island to downtown Burlington. Looking for unique nighttime entertainment? The cottage is five minutes drive from the Sunset Drive-in, one of the few remaining drive-in movie theaters in New England. Established in 1948 it features four screens and double features seven nights a week! Our cozy retreat is designed for relaxation and fun no matter your activity level, offering the perfect blend of modern amenities and charming comfort.
Keep your eyes open for Champ, Lake Champlain's own version of the Loch Ness Monster! Vermont ranks #1 in the nation for breweries per capita with over 100 breweries, brewpubs, and nano breweries. Several tours are available visiting breweries such as Alchemist, Lawson’s, Hill Farmstead, Otter Creek, Magic Hat, and Long Trail. For the history buff, Lake Champlain was a vital strategic waterway during the Revolutionary War, serving as a key route between Canada and the American colonies. Its maritime history is preserved beneath its surface, with over 300 known shipwrecks resting on the lakebed. Today, visitors can explore this rich history through museums, dive sites, and historic landmarks along the shore.
