This cabin was perfect for us as we stayed a couple of days around a football game. It isn't in a remote location, so easy to access with restaurants nearby. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck and porch.Holloway's for breakfast was awesome! Grandfather Mountain is within 30 minutes and was a great visit!
Absolutely beautiful place. So much space and It was extremely clean and everything I could need was there for us to use. We slept really good the bed was extremely comfortable. We explored the mountains and took in all the beautiful Autumn leaves. Can’t recommend this house enough! The host quickly responded to my questions. A
We were there last week for fall trip. Weather was perfect so we opened the windows in the afternoon. The windows were reallllly in need of cleaning. Usually we rent cabins that keep windows and decks clean for check in. It didn’t bother us a lot but it does need a good cleaning. But that’s the only issue we had. Everything else was great. Highly recommend this cabin—- felt just like a treehouse—and we enjoyed it so much.
We loved our little stay in the mountains! A beautiful home and loads of fresh memories. Everything was clean and our favorite part was the air hockey and porch views!
Property was very clean. Check in was seamless and owner communication was great. Only issue was parking during our stay. It is a bit awkward. Poured rain for two days. Driveway is steep and very short. We felt it was safest to back our minivan into the very tight single garage in order for our son to fit his large truck in the driveway. Just a note to others to view all pictures provided. Otherwise we had a great time and our teens appreciated gaming provided in the basement.
We loved this house and Garth was a wonderful host. The location was perfect, had beautiful views, was comfortable and well stocked and the kids LOVED the downstairs kid space!
We really liked this place - so many beds to choose from, so many great cozy spots to relax! Very pretty cabin, with lots of comfortable couches so curl up on and hang out with family. The game room was fun too - and lots of bathrooms to go with all the beds! We would definitely stay here again.
This cabin was great for our group! It felt very homey, the amenities and bathroom were well taken care of, and everything was clean. We didn’t have any issues. Thank you for hosting us! Easy to find too
Space for everyone and then some. This mountain cabin was amazing. The driveway is steep and I would say 2 cars max, but the house itself was more than amazing! Well equipped kitchen that even has an ice maker in the freezer! The water was even drinkable from the tap. Plenty of extra blankets and there was enough seating throughout the place that it could accommodate a small army. The game room was a bonus and the host was exceptional. Very attentive and responded quickly. Best host I have had honestly We will definitely come back!
Cabin was awesome and big enough for the whole family. Only issue we had was the small parking space trying to fit 4 cars in. But other than that it was a great stay!
We had a wonderful stay at this cabin in Boone. The place was clean, cozy, and very well maintained, and its close proximity to downtown, skiing, and hiking spots made our trip especially memorable. The host was extremely responsive and helpful, and everything was exactly as described. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it.The only challenge we experienced was parking — the driveway is quite steep and sharp, so we would not recommend bringing more than two vehicles.
Host was very accommodating, responsive to all my questions and pleasant. The cabin is so charming- loaded with character. Our family enjoyed the game room. The kitchen, dining and living area are so comfy and cozy with ample room to enjoy the space. The fire pit and yard so easy to maneuver and enjoy. Clearly, we loved our time at Grandfather Vista!
I can’t say enough good things about the host, Garth. While there were several annoying issues when we arrived, Garth responded immediately to solve the problems. However, one issue was a seriously dangerous issue. The previous renters had left a pool of oil at the bottom of the oven. Due to poor lighting in the kitchen, I did not notice this oil until I started the oven. Luckily I was standing in the kitchen when smoke started billowing out of the oven. I turned it off immediately but the reality of a fire in the oven was just minutes away. Garth responded immediately and had the oven cleaned by noon the following day. Since I was trying to cook a pizza, Garth graciously bought us a great pizza from a local restaurant. Looking back, some of the minor issues did seem to be possible sabotage by the previous renters. Regardless, the cleaning crew should have cleaned the oven.
Great communication with owners, lots of space, close to Blowing rock, Boone and Banner Elk. Our family of 13 really enjoyed it! Game room was a major hit!
