`Home Place on the Maury` is nestled in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley and fronting the scenic Maury River. The logs of this charming cabin date back to the 1700`s. The home features 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, a spacious living room and dining room with an additional upstairs family room and office area. Unwind on the main level wrap-around porch with large screened area or on the upstairs screened porch. Sip a glass of wine by one of two fireplaces. Kayak the river or enjoy a lazy float downstream.

The 15+acre property features plenty of room for picnics or family gatherings. A secluded outdoor deck with a fireplace is perfect for cool evenings. Two kayaks w/helmets and multiple floats help guests to enjoy the magnificient Maury River.

`Home Place on the Maury` is located 9 miles from historic Lexington VA which features Virginia Military Institute, Washington & Lee University and the Virginia Horse Center. Enjoy the quaint shops downtown, the incredible restaurants, Lime Kiln Outdoor Concert venue (summertime), historic Hull`s Drive-in Theater and the horse-drawn carriage rides!

There are a multitude of hiking trails nearby.

- The booking party must be 25 years of age or older and present during the entire stay.

- There is no smoking allowed anywhere on the property.

- Pets are permitted with pet fee.

- All overnight guests must be registered with your reservation.

- Parties are not permitted. Please limit unregistered house guests to five additional people.

- Please be respectful of our neighbors by keeping your noise level low, especially after 10pm.

- When leaving the house, please turn off lights to conserve energy.

- If an item is broken or damaged, please let us know so we can repair or replace it.

- Please be respectful of the space and treat it with care. We want to ensure that all our guests arrive to a clean, happy, and inviting space!
