This dog-friendly, warm, and cozy cottage is a short sandy walk (100 yards) to the beach and across the street from South Beach Marina with the Salty Dog Cafe, Land's End Tavern, seasonal live entertainment, and many watersport activities. In the main living space, you'll find the great room encompassing the kitchen, dining room, and living room. The fully stocked kitchen has all stainless steel appliances. Just off the living room is a large screened-in porch and sun deck for slowing down and relaxing on island time. It is the perfect South Beach location and home for an island escape.

Love the property and the location. Really appreciated the responsiveness of the management company: Vacation Company... We were missing a few kitchen items.. and they supplied the next day.. the TV remote function was on fritz.. and gee.. got a new TV a few days.. they were great.

This is the third time we’ve stayed at 17 Beachside. It’s the perfect location and a comfortable place for our family. We traveled with our son and daughter in law ans their 4 children. We had plenty of room and the home had everything we needed. .

We had a wonderful week, and the location is perfect. The house is very comfortable, and we loved the updates that have been done since we last stayed there. Two of the three bathrooms are in need of updating, and had some mold/mildew around the edges of the tub/shower. Other than that, the house was very clean.

Fun week at Sea Pines

We loved our week at HH Island. Sea Pines is great. Close to the beach, nice accommodations, close to Salty Dog and shops. We loved riding bikes and walking/playing on the beach Will definitely come back!

Perfect Beach Get Away

Great beach house, perfect for our family of 6 plus infant. Hilton Head South Beach is my favorite place in the world so to have a wonderful house with all the amenities (tons of beach towels!) to be our base was amazing! The Vacation Company was great, the whole holiday went so smoothly. Highly recommend them, we will be booking with them again.

Perfect location

Our family really enjoyed our vacation rental at 17 Beachside. There was plenty of room for our family of 6 and the house was well maintained. The Vacation Company did a great job managing the process and provided a lot of extras like beach towels and bicycles that most rental companies never offer.

Family Vacation

Very nice property in a very good location. Well furnished with everything we needed in the kitchen. Large rooms with a lot of space for the family to gather. We enjoyed the screened in porch! Good quality grill for us to use. The master bathroom has been totally remodeled but the other two bathrooms have not; this is the only critic I have.

Christmas Vacation

The property was excellent in size, rooms and location. We celebrated Christmas there with our adult children and their spouses. We had a great time. The kitchen had everything needed. The porch was great for games and the bikes were used daily. The space in the house allowed everyone their private time and gathering space was large enough for everyone to be comfortable. Fabulous Vacation!

Fabulous Family Week in HHI

This is a fabulously located home. We enjoyed a short walk to the beach, easy access to the pool and Daily walks to the salty dog for ice cream or drinks or shopping. This home was wonderful for our blended family vacation. There was plenty to do for our teenage boys (the included bike rental was a huge hit) and the two younger kids loved the proximity of the pool & beach. The layout easily accommodated family time. Everything was clean, comfortable and the one small plumbing issue we had (garbage disposal) was addressed promptly. We loved our week and will definitely return! Thank you!!

Fall at South Beach..

Over the 30 years of visiting South Beach, loved this location. Unit was nice.. a little worn, but had all the essentials. A "how to use the TVs" would be nice, it was a little confusing and you would lost if you were not tech savy. I noticed it was mentioned in prior comments.. still not there.

House needs thorough cleaning

This house is in a great location. We were very excited to stay there. The location was perfect. However, there was a smell when we walked in the door. The kitchen cabinets had mold on the inside, the outside chairs (cushions) on the screen porch were molding. There was also dog hair in the sheets in the master bedroom. We had to leave the house. I have a lung disease and the mold was terrible.

HH Getaway

The location of this property can't be beat. The pool is fabulous, the ocean is literally steps away and South Beach is perfect. Away from the hustle and bustle, even during The Heritage week. This was a family vacation with Grandparents, parents and two young children and we all enjoyed it. That said, this house is tired and in need of some updating. It was clean enough but bathrooms are just old and don't feel clean. Beach towels were great and appreciated but the bath towels are old and nearly threadbare. The pluses outweigh the negatives but for the price, it should be much better.

Needs Updates

Layout of the home is good for our family, however, the mattresses were all bad, not comfortable at all.The queen bed on 1st floor is like a rock. The house wasn't cleaned well, bare feet of the kids were very dirty within a short time of arriving at the house. Kitchen cupboards need updating. We like the location and proximity to places we could walk. All communications with people related to this home was very nice, responsive and friendly people.

1St Birthday

the house was perfect for our group. We were in the Master bedroom, our son and his wife were up stairs in the queen bedroom with the share bathroom for the twin bed room where their infant son stayed. The mother in law was in the lower queen bedroom. The house could replace all three Teflon pans as they are in poor condition. I am not into Streaming TV, so this created an issue for us elderly people. And I wasn't pleased with the quality of the bath towels, to rough and some were so worn you could see through it. Otherwise, it was perfect far our brief stay. Located within walking distance to the beach and the south Beach complex.

Fun House

Since we didn't cook but one meal, we weren't overly concerned about the provisions. Good thing my kids know about modern TV remotes as it wasn't standard "cable". you had to "stream" for various selections, and it had to be done in each individual room. Instructions would have been nice. A moderate walk to the beach: 5 -10 minutes depending upon your pace and the same amount of time for going to South Beach - Salty Dog restaurant, shops and marina. There was an exterior shower to rise off and a hose just to do your feet, beach toys or animal as we came with a dog. Being at the most southern point of the island, be sure to give yourself plenty of time to get to where you are going. Had an enjoyable stay at this Home.

Nice place but wasn’t what we rented

Due to pest droppings we were moved to a different home. A little farther from the beach than we wanted to be. Mosquitos were absolutely horrible walking from the house to the beach. Backdoor does not close all the way so anything can get in. There is a live lizard living in the upstairs bathroom cabinets. Deck stairs were semi under repair as only 4 or 5 bottom steps were new boards and very crooked. Do not eat across the street at Salty Dog Cafe. I had the Gator bites and crab cake sandwich and got food poisoning. Not the vacation we wanted at all. Ended up leaving a day early. Won’t be coming back HHI anytime soon.

First time at Hilton Head and absolutely loved it!

Beautiful home that was only a short walk to the beach and to the Salty Dog cafe. We loved this location and would recommend. Can’t wait to come back!
