The Halycon House is a wonderful property. This was our third stay and it now feels like our home away from home. The kitchen is fully stocked including wine and champagne glasses. The bathroom not only has a hair dryer but also a diffuser for those of us with curly hair! Beds are comfortable and Marilee is super responsive. The little town of Amador City (near to where we grew up) has great places to eat (Moon Pie pizza and the Imperial Hotel) and drink and despite its very small size has lots to see. Plus your just minutes from our home town of Sutter Creek where again there are great places to eat (Hotel Sutter, Cavanas, Golddust Pizza and Rosa’s Mexican) and several good wine tasting places (Biaocchi, Scott Harvey and Bella Grace). Also wonderful stores like the Antique Gardener. I’m sure you will enjoy Halcyon House as much as we do!

This was my 3rd time staying in this lovely home! We had a girls weekend and everything was perfect. The home is so cozy but spacious and it fit 6 of us no problem. There are just so many details that were thought of, it truly feels like a home away from home. It does not feel like a vacation rental. it is so clean and well maintained.
