Kitchen faucet barely trickled water, jet tub did not work, very little light outside due to no bulbs or burnt out bulbs, 2 small trashbags left for us for a 7day stay. Have to take your trash to the dump drop off in town (Menlo). Dog friendly but the crate they provide is outside with a moldy pad in it. Do not recommend.

Nice place

Wonderful host, place need some tlc tho. Cleaning was below expectations. Don't visit during a snowstorm, if you want to adventure around because people are not used to it and most businesses close down even with just 2 inches of snow. Only few food stores will open.

Beautiful cabin!

I really enjoyed my stay here. The cabin is very cozy and secluded, perfect for a chance to recharge. There is a nice little trail out back too! Some of the kitchen utensils and cookware need to be replaced, but otherwise it’s a perfect spot to get away and relax. Also the host is very helpful and communicative when I needed anything. Would stay here again.

Beautiful cabin in the woods

This cabin was just beautiful. It was hidden in a quiet spot, but not too far from stores and restaurants. It had plenty of room for all of us to stretch out and relax. I don't know what i loved the most, the huge windows or the beautiful, hardwood floors! If I'm ever on that mountain again, thats where i will stay! And the host was incredible!

Honeymoon

The house was very well kept. We have a few suggestions, NOT complaints. Blinds on the large windows in the living room/dining area, more light in the bedroom/ maybe a light on the ceiling fan, and the bed was very comfortable just very low/ hard to get out of. We enjoyed our stay Very much.

Adequate accommodations

The cabin is pretty good, about what I would expect for the price point. It is spacious and clean enough (not spotless). It worked just fine for a family of four hiking enthusiasts. However, it would NOT sleep 8 people. The living room furniture is terribly uncomfortable. The master bed needs a platform or box spring to raise it to a reasonable height. I did appreciate being able to do laundry, and the kitchen had everything needed for basic meals. The location and woodland setting are fantastic. As I mentioned, we travel quite a bit and knew not to expect luxury here, so we were in no way disappointed. The only thing I would consider a complaint is the inaccurate listing i.e. beds, and the fact that the water heater makes very loud noises which might need some attention.

Great stay

The house is exactly as described. If anything it's way better than the pics. It was very clean and the location to state parks could not be beat! Pros of home: location, and beds are super comfy Cons: the dish washer door FALLS open and is super heavy (it caught my foot and it is now purple from brusing) and no striker for grill at property. Overall I highly recommend this cabin! But on directions to get there.. the drive is directly across from the fire hydrant and there is a yellow metal stake there too (we had a time finding it in the dark)

There was plenty of room for all of us. It was nestled in the woods which was very nice.

We enjoyed not being in a motel. It was far from the places we wanted to go to. We didn't spend much time at the house. Only one full day there and we were gone all day. It was very peaceful in the morning. I enjoyed the back porch by myself while reading my Bible. The two things we were not happy with was having to deal with the dehumidifier and not enough towels and wash cloths put out for us to use.

Menlo Cabin

Very good. Very clean. Good location for us while we were working in Summerville and LaFayette. Entry using keypad was successful and easy. Not able to lock door back using keypad, had to use spare key. Could not get TV to work even after swapping out batteries, may want to check that out.

Cute A Frame in the mountains!

Very cute A-Frame in a nice secluded location. Nice property, and close to Canyonland and DeSoto State Parks. Nothing much else is nearby which is exactly what we wanted! The cabin could definitely use some minor upgrades as it's fairly dated. We had to change some bulbs out when we got there, and the wallpaper is peeling badly in the bathrooms, but it's nice other than that! The twin beds upstairs are not very comfy and the fold-out futon I wouldn't want to sleep on at all (it's pretty lumpy), but my friends said the downstairs king was decent. For the price, it's a good value and I would stay again.

Clean and repair

All that sounded great on the advertisement listings did not work:whirlpool tub, fireplace, furniture NASTY, no box springs for king bed, two person shower has broken nasty tiles, out side porch falling in so dangers to walk on, fire pit is only few rocks in small circle. Totally needs cleaning and replacing old kitchen broken stove and cookware. Would NOT stay in this cabin one hour from anything!

I had to clear the property myself before utilization.False Claim of a Fully Stocked Refrigerator with Basic Cooking Ingredients - The listing explicitly stated:"Fully stocked refrigerator with complimentary basic cooking ingredients for your convenience."However, the refrigerator was completely bare, with no non-perishable basics such as flour, sugar, or cooking essentials.Unclean & Poor Property ConditionsThe property was unclean and in poor condition upon arrival. Maintenance issues included:Kitchen stove missing a knobBroken humidifierDishwasher door dropping to the floor when openedThe host required guests to strip beds and remove all linens before departure. outdated place

very private and peaceful but old and very outdated inside and out it needs money put into the house inside and out. I've stayed in a lot of VRBO properties but never have stayed in one this bad and also so many rules, like 4bags of garbage per stay or you will be fined $25 for excess bags never in my life ever heard of this but there were 4 garbage cans outside to use. I would be ashamed to have this couch in my house.
