Inside, you’ll find a bright and thoughtfully curated living space with clean modern lines, warm wood accents, and large windows that frame the surrounding forest. The open-concept layout features a cozy living area, a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need for cooking or entertaining, and a dining space ideal for family meals or a quiet morning coffee. Both bedrooms are designed with relaxation in mind, offering comfortable beds, soft linens, and beautiful views. At the Timber and stone Gold Rush cabin you'll find privacy, comfort, and boutique style furnishings.

With the national forest as your backyard, you’ll enjoy direct access to serene natural surroundings—perfect for unwinding, wildlife watching, or exploring nearby trails. The outdoor space is built for connection and downtime: breathe in the mountain air from the deck, soak in the hot tub, gather around the fire pit at night (central firepit or individual), or sip local wine while listening to the sounds of the forest.

You’ll be minutes away from vineyards, wedding venues, gold-rush history, charming local shops, and some of North Georgia’s best hiking, including trails that weave through the national forest right beyond the cabin.

The Space:

You will receive a 4-6 digit access code to the cabin once your reservation is confirmed and prior to your check-in.



Guest Access:

Entry Gate: Provide your guests with the rotating entry code for the gate

Parking: Ridgewalk parking is in front of the cabin. EV charging (charge point charger (J1772)) is on the left parking spot (20ft range). Can accomodate up to 3-4 cars. There is plenty of turn-around parking at the center point of the property. Depending on the vehicle, it is recommended to either turn-around at ridgewalk and go down forwards or back down slowly. The entire length of the driveway is paved with a rough asphalt aggregate so 2-wheel drive vehicles will have no issues during the summer or winter months. Please do go slowly to be safe.

Firepit: Feel free to drive or walk to the central firepit on the property. If you drive, please do not block the long driveway to lot #3 (Ridgewalk).

Guests can take a wine-trail tour, visit tasting rooms, and enjoy vineyard dining — there’s a really relaxing, upscale yet down-to-earth wine-country vibe.

Hike through the center of the valley in the property and you'll stumble upon a 5.5 mile trail loop (Gooch Gap to Piano Ridge). The forested hills around Dahlonega offer a ton of hiking options — from easy loops like Lake Zwerner Trail to more challenging trails along the Appalachian-Trail corridor. Dahlonega is known for the starting point of the Appalachian Trail.



Waterfalls: You’re surrounded by some of North Georgia’s most stunning waterfalls. Highlights include Amicalola Falls (a 729-foot cascade at a nearby state park), DeSoto Falls, Raven Cliff Falls, and Helton Creek Falls.



Recreation Areas:

R-Ranch - 6 mins away (2.6 miles) - R-Ranch is a wonderful place to relax and unwind with the beauty of Dahlonega.

Jacuzzi: (Nordic MS Retreat) - the hot tub will stay on and at a constant temperature during your entire stay. Refere to the house manual on instructions for the waterfall and light features.

Thermostat: Please keep the heat and/or air at a comfortable temperature. Adjust as you see fit.

Wifi: Reference the check-in information for the wifi code.

Patio Heater: During the winter months a patio heater will be on the deck so that you can enjoy the intended outside air. If there is a need for additional propane, please send us a note and it will be refilled for you.

Grill: A grill is provided for you that will be full of propane for those dinner's al fresco. If more propane is needed, please send us a note and it will be refilled for you.



Interaction with Guests:

Each of the Timber and Stone cabins is privately located on over 3+ acres. You'll have privacy in all directions. Whether you rent the entire property of Timber and Stone or an individual cabin, you'll find a central fire pit to meet up with your other guests or meet new friends at the center point of the nearly 13 acres.
