Great location for exploring Mt. Desert Island! Bar Harbor and Acadia were super accessible from the property. The cabin was cozy and had all the amenities you could want—we enjoyed the cooler for a picnic. James and Marilyn were truly lovely hosts with great recommendations for the area and made us feel at home the whole stay!
Such a beautiful cottage in a quiet park like setting. James and Marilyn, our host and hostess were so welcoming and kind. James even made us a strawberry, rhubarb, and blueberry pie which was absolutely delicious!!!The cottage is very close to Acadia National park entrance and Bar Harbor. It has everything you need including 2 full baths and 2 bedrooms and a well equipped kitchen. The cottage was comfortable and spotless. I highly recommend this lovely property.
This was a perfect little cottage for our family (two young kids) to set up shop while we explored Acadia National Park over 5 days. James and Marilyn were gracious hosts, welcoming us with smiles, a friendly chat, and a special surprise in the fridge upon our arrival. The cottage had everything we needed for meals, sleeping, relaxation, bathing, and entertainment (though we spent most of our waking hours exploring the park). The location was fantastic (very short drive to Bar Harbor, the park, and other attractions). Highly recommend this cottage to other families looking for adventure in the great Maine wilderness.
Absolutely loved staying at this location. The hosts are one of the sweetest couples you have ever met!! And it is close to Acadia and Bar Harbor. We loved it there!
Great location near Acadia and BarHarbor restaurants. Very clean and well equipped kitchen. The hosts were gracious and kind. We arrived to a home made pie!
The property had everything we needed and was perfectly clean! The hosts were very welcoming and made sure that we had what we needed for a great stay (including a pie!). I have already recommended the property to a friend.
We had a wonderful time staying at this cute cabin situated perfectly on the island to see a good bit of it in 5 days. The weather was great and the cabin was comfortable for a heat wave.

Kerr Cottage is homy....comfortable and cozy.
James and Marilyn are wonderful and caring hosts.
The delicious berries pie which James baked for us was sooo delicious.
The cottage was very clean and well appointed. It was in close proximity to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The hosts were very friendly and even made a homemade pie for us to enjoy! If we are ever taking a trip to Maine again I would definitely look to see if this place was available.
This cabin was wonderful to stay in while visiting Acadia. It was In the woods which was very peaceful but also within an easy drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The cabin was very clean and cute. We were able to use the grill and make meals to eat in (plenty of kitchen items). The hosts were very friendly (loved the pie that was waiting for us). We would definitely stay here again if back in the area.

The owners are wonderful people. It was much bigger, and nicer than the pictures described. And the homemade blueberry rhubarb pie was incredible
Very clean property that is fully stocked. The owners are lovely and stock the cabin with several brochures of activities around Bar Harbor.
The location is a quick drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor shops and restaurants. I highly recommend this property to families.
What a lovely, quiet cabin with such gracious hosts! I have been vacationing in Maine since 2002, and this was by far my favorite rental. It was clean, spacious, homey, and conveniently located to local attractions, but also remote enough to allow for a deeply relaxing getaway. I am so missing sitting on that porch with a book and a cup of coffee!
This is a great cabin nestled in the woods of Nar Harbor. It’s far enough away to be out of the bustle and traffic of Bar Harbor yet just a few short minutes away from the entrance of Acadia and downtown Bar Harbor. The cabin is wonderful, the kitchen was fully equipped with every pot and pan and utensils that you could possibly need. My wife and I lived our stay and were sad to leave.
The cottage is conveniently located near Acadia National Park, as well as a very short drive to Bar Harbor. The cottage is very cozy with all the amenities that are needed for a comfortable stay. The hosts are close by, very helpful and willing to provide any information or needs that the guests may have.
We absolutely loved our stay at the Cottage. James and Marilyn were wonderful hosts and the cottage was very clean and well stocked. Our almost 6 year old enjoyed the bin of toys and the children’s books. The proximity to the NP entrance, Bar Harbor, as well as other attractions on MDI was so convenient! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will stay here again, if we ever are in the area again.
Our stay at this cottage was convenient to Bar Harbor and ANP, yet the cottage is secluded and quiet which was the perfect way to experience the area. The cottage is well kept, clean and fully supplied with everything you will need.
