We had a wonderful stay! It’s a great location, with many hikes within minutes of the home and the area is not too crowded. The cabin sits by itself and it's really peaceful and private. Kim is a wonderful host.

Such a lovely cabin! So many lovely touches from the beautiful shellacked furniture, to the comfy blankets, s’mores supplies and pre built fire in the pit! There was a fully equipped kitchen with needed pots and pans, electric stove, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, keurig coffee maker, too, Perfect for a couple and two children or other two adults. (We came with two grown kids)… not much space for suit cases, don’t over pack… master bed is full-sized- so best for smaller people. We really enjoyed the porch for morning quiet times. The fire pit area was perfect for evening hang outs.Hostess very helpful and friendly. Excellent communication Fantastic stay!

I can't recommend this place enough! This was my family's first time visiting Maine, and this charming cabin (located on the doorstep of Acadia National Park) was the perfect home away from home. Talk about clean...the cabin is almost brand new, and features virtually all of the modern amenities you could desire (including wifi and even a washer/dryer). Its location in a remote wooded neighborhood provided total peace, quiet, and privacy - in spite of sharing the driveway with a neighbor, who we never heard a peep from. We enjoyed our own home cooked meals in the perfectly functional kitchen and on the BBQ grill outside, and the drive to various hiking and canoeing spots in Acadia was never too long. Kim was very easy to reach (despite her being overseas at the time!) and her sister-in-law across the street stopped by when we arrived and made sure we were set up properly. Our only regret was not being able to stay longer! Many thanks to Kim and her family for their hospitality and making our stay a memorable one.

I’ve worked on private yachts , as a varnisher ,for over 40 years!
So expect to see a lot of varnish, and be surrounded by nautical items, thus the name!
Also have traveled around the world, so many things from other countries.

What makes this property unique

It’s on an acre lot, amongst the trees, very private.
