We booked this condo to celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary, expecting a relaxing weekend. Unfortunately, it was one of the most disappointing rentals we’ve experienced. We’re lifelong Floridians who live 30 minutes away and stay at beach rentals regularly. This was not normal Florida humidity. Even with the A/C units and dehumidifier running, the condo remained extremely damp. We emptied the dehumidifier twice in one evening, and the indoor humidity still hovered around 80%. The excessive moisture made sleeping miserable. The bedroom A/C was extremely loud, the bed was very uncomfortable, and once the overwhelming smell of cleaning chemicals faded, a strong mildew odor became obvious throughout the unit.Parking was another issue. There are not enough parking spaces for the number of units, making it difficult to find a place to park.We left after the first night because the conditions were unacceptable and requested a refund for the unused second night. Property management declined, attributing the issues to Florida weather. As locals, we know the difference between coastal humidity and a unit with excessive moisture problems.I rarely leave negative reviews, but future guests deserve an honest account of our experience. I hope these issues are addressed because the location has potential, but the condition of the unit fell well below our expectations.
