Are you looking for peace and quiet? Then this might be the perfect place to stay for your holiday in the Cilento.<br><br>The Villa del Sole on Monte Sant'Antonio, between Camerota and Marina di Camerota, offers you restful seclusion amidst lush Mediterranean nature and a panoramic view you’ll find hard to tear your eyes away from.<br><br>The location of the terrace at this approximately 60-square-meter holiday home could hardly have been more beautifully chosen. Under a magnificent olive tree, you’ll find shade and enjoy a unique view. From the mountain village of Camerota all the way down to the marina—which juts out into the sea like a small headland—you can gaze far into Calabria towards the mountains of the Pollino National Park. Standing at the entrance to the property, on particularly clear days you can even make out Stromboli in the distance. For us, it was one of the most special moments during our visit with the Marotta family at Monte Sant’Antonio. <br><br>WELL-MAINTAINED VACATION HOME WITH ITS OWN OLIVE GROVE <br>Divided into a living/dining room with kitchen, two bedrooms, and a bathroom, the Villa del Sole can accommodate up to 4 people. An approximately 7,000-square-meter property surrounds the house. The charming, partly very old dry stone walls that criss-cross the olive grove belonging to the house lend this place a special Mediterranean flair. <br><br>You enter the holiday home through the living/dining area with a fireplace. From the built-in kitchenette, you can always enjoy the panoramic view of the mountains and the sea while cooking. From the living area, you can access the adjacent bedrooms (one double bed; two single beds). The well-maintained bathroom includes a washing machine. The windows in the bedrooms, as well as those in the living room, are equipped with fly screens.<br><br>Villa del Sole and the olive grove are completely fenced in. You can park your car right in front of the house. Villa del Sole also stands out for its sustainability. For example, the electricity supply is completely self-sufficient thanks to a photovoltaic system. <br><br>PANORAMIC TERRACE, PIZZA OVEN & OUTDOOR KITCHEN <br>The outdoor area of Villa del Sole is quite cosy. A long wooden table with benches is perfect for social evenings. Adjacent to it is a large outdoor kitchen with a pizza oven, a brick charcoal grill, two gas burners, and a sink. The entire area is covered, and of course, you can enjoy sweeping views of the sea from here as well.<br><br>However, the sun terrace in front of the house offers the perfect spot to relax. A tall olive tree provides shade and creates a particularly idyllic atmosphere. Make yourself comfortable on the cosy lounge chairs and enjoy the spectacular view of the sea, the Cilento, Basilicata, and Calabria. Hardly any other holiday home will offer you such breathtaking scenery.<br><br>HIKING, SWIMMING & SHOPPING<br>From Villa del Sole, you can set out directly on short and long hikes through the Cilento. A trail runs parallel to the coast, past the nearby Sant’Antonio Chapel, leading directly to Palinuro. The path down to Marina di Camerota is also well worth the walk, and from there you can continue on towards Cala Bianca and Porto Infreschi.<br><br>If you’d like to spend a day at the beach, Marina di Camerota offers a wide variety of great swimming spots. The drive from the holiday home to Marina takes about 15 minutes. In addition to the town’s beaches—Calanca and Lentiscelle—a boat trip to the bays of Pozzallo, Cala Bianca, and Infreschi. The Cooperativa Cilento Mare will take you there from the harbour and back again.<br><br>You can do your shopping in Camerota, which is about 3 km from Villa del Sole. There you’ll also find bars and restaurants, such as Al Castello in Camerota’s old castle. The restaurant Ammor e Mare on Via Coppola in Marina di Camerota offers excellent, traditional seafood cuisine.<br><br>
