First off, the host and neighbors who were mostly family to the host, were all very friendly and helpful. The house is on a beautiful location. The lake was wonderful to have right there. They were big dog lovers and there were several very friendly dogs that wanted to keep us company as well. They were all very friendly and seemed to like our kids and there were no issues. My kids range from 20 months old to 17 years. This can be a great rental but my poor review was based on the house. It was neat but it clean. My wife was afraid to give the baby a bath in the tub as it needed a very good cleaning, and the chairs and beds were absolutely disgusting under them. The oven had something spilled in it and ruined the French fries my wife tried to bake in it. The grill outside was recently used and had sauce all over it from what had been cooked last. The host also is a smoker and the top floor had been smoked in and nearly killed us the first night. Also the cabinets in the kitchen were sticky either with nicotine or lots of frying being done in the kitchen. If I knew the house was clean and the smoke residue was gone mostly I would consider going back. These things are what really reduced the enjoyment of the property.
