The house was immaculate and curated perfectly for a family stay. Not only was it well decorated and welcoming but there were so many activities and games for the kiddos and family. We needed a quick place to stop over on a cross country road trip and it was amazing to have be able to stay in a comfortable place with plenty of room for our family of four and not feel cramped like we would have been in a hotel. It was very close to downtown and we were able to quickly drive over to a local spot for dinner. The host was very responsive and had taken care to ensure that we were well taken care of. Would absolutely recommend if you need a place to stay in Albuquerque for no matter how long you need to stay!

About the host
Hosted by Ashley Martinez
Hi, I'm Ashley. My family has lived in the area now known as New Mexico for nearly 400 years, and I've spent much of my life studying, teaching, and collecting the stories that make this place so special. I've always loved that Albuquerque feels like a place suspended between worlds, where ancient petroglyphs overlook the city, hot air balloons drift across the morning sky, and the cottonwoods along the Rio Grande form one of the largest urban forests in North America. There is something quietly otherworldly about it.
This home was designed to be comfortable, welcoming, and easy to enjoy. Whether you're here for Balloon Fiesta, work, family, or adventure, I hope you'll find a chance to slow down and experience some of the wonder that has kept people connected to this place for generations. Listen for coyotes after sunset, wander the bosque beneath the cottonwoods, and look up at the night sky. New Mexico has a way of making even ordinary moments feel a little enchanted.
Why they chose this property
I was drawn to this part of town because it offers a way of life that feels uniquely Albuquerque. The Bosque is practically an extension of the neighborhood, with easy access to the Paseo del Bosque Trail for walking, biking, birdwatching, and enjoying the beauty of the Rio Grande year-round.
Getting around is surprisingly easy. Local roads like Rio Grande Boulevard, 12th Street, Montaño, and Indian School provide multiple routes across the city, often without needing to rely on I-25 or I-40. It's one of those everyday conveniences that longtime residents especially appreciate.
The neighborhood is also just minutes from Historic Old Town, placing local restaurants, museums, galleries, festivals, and cultural landmarks within easy reach. At the same time, the area maintains a peaceful, established feel, with mature trees, quiet streets, and a slower pace than many newer developments.
Another local favorite is the climate. Thanks to its proximity to the river and abundance of mature trees, this area often feels noticeably cooler and greener than other parts of Albuquerque, especially during the warmer months.
