Welcome to The Little Bluebird, a private one-bedroom apartment in Willington, Connecticut. I enjoy hosting because it lets me combine the things I value most in hospitality: making people feel welcome, anticipating the details that make travel easier, and creating a clean, comfortable place where guests can truly relax.
My professional background is as a restaurant General Manager, where great guest service has always been at the center of my work. Managing a busy hospitality business has taught me how important responsiveness, consistency, cleanliness, comfort, and genuine care are to a guest’s experience. I bring that same approach to hosting—from clear communication before arrival and easy self-check-in to thoughtful touches throughout the apartment.
The Little Bluebird is designed to be a convenient and comfortable home base for UConn visitors, families, business travelers, hospital professionals, and guests exploring northeastern Connecticut. It is also a special place for anyone who enjoys the outdoors, with the Willimantic River, trout fishing, and Nye-Holman State Forest close by. The home offers a private, full one-bedroom layout, a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable sleeping space for up to four guests, and a peaceful wooded setting.

I chose this Willington location because it offers a rare combination of convenience, privacy, and access to the outdoors. The Little Bluebird is only minutes from I-84 and roughly five miles from UConn Storrs, making it an easy home base for university visits, game weekends, work travel, hospital stays, and trips throughout northeastern Connecticut.

What makes the neighborhood especially appealing is the natural setting. The property sits alongside Nye-Holman State Forest and the Willimantic River, with opportunities nearby for hiking, wildlife viewing, and trout fishing. Guests can enjoy a quieter, wooded atmosphere while still being close to restaurants, shopping, campus activities, and local attractions.

It comfortably sleeps up to four people.
