This cozy home away from home has everything you need for a comfortable stay in Berkeley for a few days or for a few weeks.

Amenities and surroundings include: Lovely living room area (decorated with art by local artists) with a smart TV and a table for both dining and working. New beautiful bathroom and a contemporary brand new, fully equipped kitchen that has a microwave, a refrigerator, an oven, a stove and a washer/dryer. The entrance to the apartment is separate and private.

Enjoy charming outdoor seating with a fabulous view of the San Francisco Bay complete with an herb garden which tea drinkers and cooks are welcome to enjoy.

Walking distance to: Berkeley’s “Gourmet Ghetto” on Shattuck Ave., Solano Avenue shopping and boutiques, and easy access to beautiful hiking trails. Only a 20 minute walk or 7 minute bus ride to downtown Berkeley (the bus stop is just a few steps from the house), and the University of California at Berkeley is just 1.5 miles away. For those with cars, convenient street parking is always available.

The apartment fits two people comfortably. You will be welcomed with homemade baked goods and wine.

It is a beautiful cosy studio with all the amenities, the outside table is a nice bonus and there is also a view of the bay from the porch!There have nice kitchen appliances and utensils.The hosts are very caring and brought us a delicious treat.The bus stop is in front of the house if you want to explore further.We would certainly come back, I would highly recommend it.

Tal & Eli have really thought of everything to make their studio a welcoming and comfortable place. The location is great and in walking distance to UC Berkeley and shopping and eating on Shattuck.

Small and efficient spot in a great location

This place is small, space for no more than two people. The Hosts were communicating well and the space is well equipped for light cooking, but you are walking distance from the best restaurants in Berkeley.

We loved our week long stay in this well-planned small but very comfortable space. The location was perfect for getting around the Berkeley, Emeryville, Albany, and El Cerrito areas easily. We found many nearby cafe's and restaurants to enjoy and we hiked in nearby Tilden Park. The ample entry steps up from the road made the magnificent Bay view possible. We'd recommend this lodging in a heart beat!

Perfect stay to visit daughter at Cal!

We enjoyed our stay so much. The view from the kitchen window is beautiful overlooking the bay. We even found a bottle of wine and homemade apple cake waiting for us. Cute and clean just as advertised. Minor suggestion would be to provide a lighter weight blanket for the bed. The down comforter in the closet is too heavy for fall nights. Highly recommend this charming place!

40th High School Reunion

This was perfect for what I needed. I just needed a place to be comfortable that was close to amenities. Tal and Eli were very responsive and they welcomed me with chocolates, an apple crumble and wine. So amazing.

Great location

Overall this location worked out fine for us. It's convenient to all sorts of amenities. The bed was comfy. It is smaller than we anticipated, and it's a basement suite. As such, you can hear the owners above and if you're a bit claustrophobic it might bug you. It's probably better for a single traveler than a couple. We also didn't anticipate the on-street parking, but it turned out to be ok. The host was very accommodating and even greeted us with a homemade apple dessert.

It was a central location for us to visit San Francisco, Moraga, Milpitas, Bodega Bay, Santa Rosa, El Cerrito, etc.The owners put a lot of care and thought in the quality of materials and design of the space used in remodeling it for a VRBO. Plenty of street parking, great binder of info/instructions.It is close to shops, grocery stores and restaurants.The owners had a wonderful, tasty apple dessert and shared the recipe. They also provided a lovely bottle of wine.Quick response to questions by email and text.We enjoyed our stay so much, we were able to book the place for another stay.If you are a senior with limited mobility, be aware there are stairs you'll need to climb to get to the VRBO unit.We highly recommend - quiet/ peaceful respite.

Pleasant little studio

The studio apartment is very clean, comfortable and pretty well laid out. It's on a fairly busy street but we didn't notice an abundance of noise. I heard a garbage truck, but not really anything else. Two things to take note of: 1. If you want to do laundry, it's a combination washer and dryer. It doesn't have a lot of capacity and it takes quite a while to do a cycle2. There are several stairs from the street up to the apartment. If you have trouble with stairs, you may want to look elsewhere. Those things noted, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here next time I'm in the area.
