Property is run down and owner unwilling to remedy or provide rebate. The property was clean when we entered. Owner responded quickly to concerns, but not adequately.This place has no AC, which would be OK IF one could open the windows without having mosquitoes and flies enter. 77 degrees downstairs and over 85 upstairs where two bedrooms are located.When I requested that screens be provided, the owner declined, citing the holiday weekend and that this was the first he knew about the screens being torn out. As the landlord, he has an obligation to ensure the property is in good shape, so not knowing about the screen is not a valid reason. Second, he could have driven to hardware store bought screening material and replaced the screens. (HW store was open!)After the owner refused to fix the screen, I asked for a rebate. He refused and suggested that I could find another place and he would refund the fee. Right, find another place late on July 3? The one place he suggested had no availability.It seems the landlord is just milking this place for without care for the tenant. See the pictures. Blinds are broken, curtain rods are falling down, lamps won't turn on, paint is peeling and chipped, carpet is old & wrinkled, screens are torn. Could show more, but limit is 8 pictures.For more fun, can't park on the street and there are swallows nesting under the eaves. Your car will likely receive a good smattering of bird droppings.
