Very good

House is recently renovated upstairs, kitchen well stocked, has Keurig for coffee, Large Roku TV in living room, lots of natural light, and well lit at night. Washer & Dryer downstairs was great to have. There’s a dock and boat slip in back that was occupied, unsure if it’d be available in the future but worth asking, as location is ideal for boating.
Neighborhood is great, quiet, and very conveniently located. There’s a keycard to access the private beach, within walking distance.
Pete is a great host, he called day before check-in to answer questions and explain our stay. He texted during our stay to see how it was going. Check out was easy. I’d definitely stay here again.

Look around at other places first.
I read the reviews before coming and realized the place was somewhat dated. We were taking our boat so I was pretty pumped about the canal and being able to keep my boat there ready to go. Overall it wasn't much worse than I expected with the exception of the large bugs (cockroaches maybe) and the fact that the second day we came back on the boat and parked in the slip under the deck the dock started falling down when when my friend got out of the boat. Thankfully he didn't get hurt. Then for the remainder of the trip I had to keep my boat in the canal exposed to the elements.
The main issue I had and I can blame this on myself. Is that after getting down there I started looking around and found places on the canal for less money that looked to be in much better shape. I am just saying before you rent this one be sure and explore your options.
Also if you take a boat you will find out after you pay that you cannot keep your boat in the driveway without a permit or something. He will tell you to do it and the wait until you get a citation. Of coarse we did and I called the homeowners association to try and take care of it on our last day there and the guy didn't know how to handle it and was going to call me back which he never did. So I wasn't able to get it taken care of before I left. Not a huge deal but something that would have been good to know when I booked it and its just not something I want to deal with while on vacation.
We had a great time. We love Destin and have stayed here before however we were pleasantly surprised with the fresh renovations ( applause) for this most recent stay. Fresh, clean and very comfortable stay!
We love this spot, morning coffee and cocktails afterwards on the large deck with a awesome view. We have to force ourselves out of the house sometimes.
Stones throw from the beach is very convenient, makes it nice for short trips to the beach with out kids and alone time sunset walks. Great dock space for the boat, nice and quiet canal and safe. Love fishing from the dock as well.
We highly recommend it, for us it's a steal since most of the surrounding houses are huge million dollar plus homes renting for much higher prices. We are on vacation and like to use our money doing fun things and shopping all over this great area!

Great house in Holiday Isle!
I've stayed at this property several times. Whether I've brought the family or brought the guys down for a fishing trip this location has been great. It's not a new luxurious home but it provides all the amenities needed for a budget friendly vacation. The boat slip is a major plus. I can leave my boat in the water for my entire stay with no need to take it in and out of the water. Proximity to the harbor, restaurants and crab island are great too. The house was dated but the owner has been making upgrades over the last couple years. I plan to continue staying at this location in my future visits!

Very Outdated and Dirty/Smelly
We pulled up to the property and it was probably the least maintained property on the street. We have rented several homes in Holiday Isle which were much bigger and nicer but this visit we needed a small property. The driveway was big enough for our 25ft pontoon trailer so that was good. The front door isn't very secure, just a door knob lock. When you enter you can immediately see there's foundation issues. The floors were "soft" some places and were very uneven. We tripped a lot bc of this. Our little one fell several times and got hurt bc the floors were so uneven. The flooring itself looked relatively new. Between seams there was a big strip of wood also causing a lot of stubbed toes and tripping. Much larger than normal stripping you put between rooms. The sofa had wood 2x4's holding cushions up. It was super uncomfortable to even sit on. The dining area smelled so bad like urine we could hardly sit to eat. There was also no lighting in the dining area and when you walk upstairs the lights flickered downstairs. The downstairs was horribly smelly with dead roaches all over the floors. The carpets there need replaced and are all stained badly. Patches of the ceiling in every room were peeling/falling off. Spiral stairs made it very hard to carry laundry downstairs to wash. As soon as we got there I had to wash all the towels to have some to use. They were stained like fresh used and some tossed under the bathroom sink where there was tools and random stuff which also was all over the towels. Gross.... Basically all of the "clean" stuff was dirty. There are no fans in the bedrooms so when you are in the sun all day and try to sleep it's VERY hot. We were all miserable every night and almost went to get a hotel. It was bad. There were mirrors on the ceiling over the bed and speakers in the walls... Fine I guess for college kids but not really family oriented. The drawers in the dressers all had funk in them like hair and fake nails and fake eye lashes....we didn't use those due to that. All the baseboards, doorways, ceiling trim had massive piles of dust/dirt build up just laying there as did the bathroom sliding plastic door. My 2 year old even said ewww mommy that's dirty. She even refused to take shoes off bc it was so dirty. The counter tops have been painted multiple times so if you cut your food the paint flakes off into your food. Nice huh... Not many pans to use. Bakeware was disgusting. We bought a lot of food to make but couldn't.

Great place and awesome location! Will be back!
My girlfriend and I had a great time here! The house was great, much larger than we expected! The deck was so awesome and had so much room for activities! The views out on the water where amazing especially while enjoying a cold beverage. The beach access was a block away and we even had a water taxi pick us up at the dock to bring us to the restaurant for dinner. Peter was great and his communication made everything so easy. The only downside of our trip was that we didn't want to leave! We had a great time and we can't wait to come back!

Second time around for me here. Many upgrades were made since my last visit, Kitchen, new appliances, doors, garage.. Great views, huge deck, boat dock has plenty of room for a large boat, also has a small covered slip. water way is picturesque. Beach access is near and plenty to do in the area. Large driveway and garage storage. I will be back again...

Not a fan
This was one of the worst rentals I have ever stayed at. If you like mirrors above your bed and splinters in your toes, this is the ideal place for you. Other than that, the place is falling apart.
I contacted the management company within an hour of arriving to fix the sliding glass door that was broken (The glass was exposed due to a broken frame. Not within the wall but the door itself). I was told "Yes, he needs to get new doors, just keep the kids away from it". They showed up 3 days later and didn't fix it again telling us to "Stay away from it". Fortunately there were no fires or emergencies because there was only one door that was available that didn't need coaxing to get out of.
I was very disappointed to say the least.

Great place, great location
Me and my girlfriends had a great time here! The kitchen is large and updated, the deck is nice and large too and it was great place to soak up some rays! Overall the place was spacious, comfortable, and just a 2 minute walk from the beach. I would recommend this property to anyone interested in having a good time.
