Stunning oceanfront views, beach, hot tub

THE VIEWS DO NOT GET BETTER THAN THIS! This photo was taken from the dining room table one evening. We recently have been watching the whales from the same dining room table. The panoramic views are breathtaking, whether from the home, the spa, or walking along the beach or picnicking on the bluff. Watch the ocean transform from sunrise to sunset, with the Mendocino Lost Coast framing the horizon. Enjoy a romantic or family-friendly stay in our contemporary home on 5 ocean-front acres. In the evenings enjoy the wood burning stove, or watch the stars and listen to the ocean from the comfort of the hot tub. Walk along the many beaches stretching along the Ocean, and enjoy the tidal pools, seals and vistas. The property shares the private beach shown in the photo, and has it's own private cove, accessible at low tide and known for the sea glass to be found in its sands.

The nearby seaside village of Westport makes for a pleasant walk. There is a small store in the adjoining campground with essentials, and a quaint store in the village. We are comfortably far from shopping malls and fast food, and very close to the ocean waves and the stars.

This was our 11th stay at Dan's Cottage and I think that says it all! The location is ideal, the cottage is well-equipped with just the right amenities, and we will be back next year for sure. The new couches and flooring are thoughtful upgrades. We barely use the mini-splits ( also a nice touch) that were installed a few years back because the wood stove works so nicely. Dan is a kind, generous, and lovely host! We have had to weather two major power outages in the last few years, due to storms, and Dan has gone above and beyond to make sure we were okay. I can't say enough good things about Dan & his cottage. Thanks again

My favorite vacation spot

This was my family’s 3rd time staying and had wonderful trip. The views and property is our favorite. I love to drink my coffee in the morning at the picnic table overlooking the bluff. The beach is amazing too! I never want to leave. It’s our home away from home and we hope to continue having our annual family vacations there.

Our Favorite Vacation Spot

This was our third time staying here and we always have a great time! We take our two small dogs with us and they were also happy to be back. It was quiet at the cottage (except for when the bear tried to get into the garbage at 2am) and we almost had the beach to ourselves. Hope to return soon!

It takes my breath away every time I look out at the Pacific Ocean surf rolling into the miles of California coast visible from the cottage windows. I would love to share this with you.

What makes this property unique

Peaceful setting, with incredible views of the interplay of ocean and light from dawn to sunset. Walk for miles at low tide through the pristine Nothern beaches past acres of tidepools. When the surf is up, watch from the bluff top, hot tub or dining room table as the ocean sings its song.
