Beautiful home that offers a quiet getaway on side of mountain. A bit of a drive on a curvy road but allows for opportunity to get away from the hustle of the town. Would stay here again.
Beautiful home with an even better view. We got to see deer from the back deck every morning.the kids had their own space and the house was fully stocked. We would stay here again next time we’re in the area.
The pictures don't do this place justice. We've been disappointed with the cleanliness of other properties. Not so here. In fact, I hesitate to say how nice it was since we want to go back and would like it to be available. There's no Wi-Fi but we could turn our phone's hotspot on to run our laptop (careful not to use too much mobile data). Also, the rule about bottled water was weird but a small price to pay to stay at this peaceful retreat.
Beautiful home and a great place to relax. Location was close to everything we wanted to do. Quiet which was great for sleeping and unwinding.... especially on the deck overlooking the trees and Pacific.
Such a lovely home. Very relaxing and peaceful. Possibly the best cleaned home we’ve ever rented, and (unlike most rentals) the kitchen was well organized and stocked to actually cook full meals. Great birdwatching from the back porch with morning coffee. Nice to be away from town and highway, yet still able to see the ocean and just a short drive to everything.

mountain retreat
road to property was a little difficult and there was no ocean view but the trees were beautiful, home was terrific , I will be a repeat guest
This was am amazing house and we loved everything about it. It was our first time renting a house and think we will do it from now on. So much better than hotels.
We really enjoyed the home. It is in a beautiful location and the view is spectacular. Not alot of restaurants in Brookings but there are places up the coast. Harris beach is beautiful and a great place to relax. We hiked all over the coast and then went down to Jedidiah Smith State Park, only a 30 minute drive! The redwoods are stunning. Definitely would stay here again!
Great Place for Mini High School Reunion (3 old friends)
We had a wonderful time in Brookings Oregon and much of it was due to this lovely VRBO! Everything was clean. The kitchen was well stocked. (Totally impressed they had Ziploc plastic bags - really helpful for leftovers.) We enjoyed the balcony (most of which was covered)! Can't recommend this place highly enough!!!
This is our second stay (away from the Arizona heat) and we loved how peaceful it was right in the forest. Each morning coffee on the desk was so lovely with the marine layer rolling in. Seeing the deer and turkey in the area made us feel part of nature. The close location to the redwood forest and ocean/beach was perfect. Thank you for sharing this amazing home. We will be back.
We had a fantastic time. The house is absolutely wonderful - exceeded our expectations. All the rooms were great, and the deck is amazing! We went to visit our daughter and her husband, who stayed with us at the house. They were our tour guides on a jet boat ride, a visit to a lighthouse, and of course the giant redwoods. In the evenings, the house was perfect for just relaxing and enjoying each others' company. If we're fortunate enough to be able to return, we'll definitely try to re-book.
House in woods was nice to be close to town but in nature. Large home suitable for family of 4 to have space and privacy. Daily visits from deer. We saw a gray fox several times. The patio was large with a beautiful view of forest. Close to everything beach, redwoods, stout grove and swimming in crystal clear water 45 minutes away. Beds were all firm. Kitchen had everything you needed. Well water, so bottled water was provided for cooking and drinking. Water pump went out and was promptly fixed. Beautiful house. No good restaurants that we found. Happy clam was gross. Expensive Mushroom restaurant was extremely expensive and terrible without flavor. Donut store was very greasy. Recommend eating in and spending quality time with family. The TV was terrible with satellite tv, limited channels and old. Recommend an upgrade. Very safe neighborhood. Park and playground minutes away.
Our recent stay at this beautiful property was everything we could have hoped for and more. Nestled in a private, quiet neighborhood, the home offered a unique blend of seclusion and accessibility. Although it wasn't directly on the ocean, one window provided us with a stunning view of the ocean over the trees, a serene backdrop for our mornings and evenings.
The house itself was a delight, with bright, open spaces that gave our group plenty of room to relax and unwind. It was evident that thought had gone into making the space welcoming and comfortable for guests, with all the amenities we needed for a perfect stay.
One of the reasons we chose this location was its proximity to the redwood forests. Being so close to such majestic nature while having a cozy, spacious place to come back to was the best of both worlds.
The peace and quiet of the neighborhood, combined with the home's open and inviting layout, made our stay exceptionally relaxing. We appreciated the balance of being able to explore the great outdoors by day and retreat to our private haven by evening.
We are truly grateful to the owners for sharing their home with us. It was an ideal setting for creating lasting memories. We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a serene getaway close to nature. Thank you for a wonderful experience; we hope to return in the future.

Thank you for staying with us. The house may not be close to the beach, but it is not far away and it does offer solitude!
Please stop back again!
