Wonderful cozy home. We really appreciated the proximitey to Yosemite and the nearest market place in Mariposa. I use a cane so all the steps were challenging but certainly doable. The kitchen was well appointed and we lacked for nothing. The air cooler was great for the hot days and the individual space heaters were perfect for taking the morning chill off. We truly enjoyed our stay!
This property was very spacious and comfortable for the four of us.
It had two bathrooms, which was very convenient, and the kitchen was well equipped with cooking utensils.
The location was also great, with easy access to Yosemite—about 50 minutes to an hour by car.
We had a wonderful stay in this somewhat rustic house. It has charm, character, and was very comfortable. The highlight was preparing and eating home-made meals with a crackling fire in the large fireplace in the kitchen dining room. It's a long drive to Yosemite Valley, so not convenient if you're planing multiple days in the park, but Midpines is a charming little town to explore.
The check in was fast, communication with host was fine. The property needs some renovation. One sink has to be cleaned. The kitchen is well equipped, but some devices have to be changed like the toaster for example. The location is good, it's about one hour drive to Yosemite Valley.Overall we had a good time.

Comfort and Charm: Our Family Stay near Yosemite NP
We had a wonderful stay in this quaint home with so much history. It’s a vintage style home with all the modern amenities. Just a 38min drive from Yosemite entrance and 8-10min from Mariposa. Amazing location! Perfect for all the activities we wanted to do.
We loved this rental. Our group of 7 (4 adults, 3 children) stayed here while we enjoyed a couple of days at Yosemite. We loved how spacious this home was, and it felt cozy. We cooked a couple of meals and the kitchen had everything we needed. If we ever go back to Yosemite we will definitely stay here again.
Four of us stayed here and all enjoyed it. Super clean, great beds, outdoor grill was nice. Large and roomy. Cool to know it was once a roadside diner. Perfect spot for our trip to Yosemite. I would stay there again in a heartbeat! No complaints!
Loved the "cabin in the woods" feel of the Midpines HWY 140 house. So close to Yosemite we were able to see all the sights we wanted to and had a nice cozy cabin to return to. Loved the fireplace and that it was all set up and ready to light when we arrived. We brought food to prepare and all kitchen necessities were there and easy to find. Lots of DVDs and games available for the kids too.
Lovely home located just past Mariposa on your way to Yosemite National Park. Huge kitchen ( I love to cook) huge fireplace and I loved the privacy in the backyard. The beds and bedding were so comfortable. The host was amazing and super friendly and so were the owners. My trips will be more regular and this will be my stop. It’s perfect!
