Daniel, the host, is very friendly and efficient and available at all times. He also negotiated a very good daily price for the beach at Tre Stelle. The property is located 5 minutes from the beach, in a residential area with a simple restaurant immediately opposite. It is also only a 5 minute walk to the bus station, from which you can go to Lucca, Pietrasanta or Forte di Marmi, for a few Euros. One disadvantage is that there are few grocers or greengrocers in the immediate vicinity and by default one needs to use a less than charming or well stocked supermarket. However, the "flat", more like a townhouse, has very spacious bedrooms and loads of hanging and storage space. The bathroom is also very large, with bidet, but could probably do with a new shower installation. There are narrow balconies at the kitchen/living room area and at both bedrooms. The two chairs provided are not that comfortable. Each person was provided with a set of towels (one large, one medium and one small) plus two (furry in one case and probably not 100% cotton) sheets and pillowcases per bed. Unfortunately it was not possible to have another set of either towels or bedlinen, which made it a bit difficult logistically i.e. wash them in the machine provided and hope they dry quickly or for Euros 20 Daniel offered to take them to be washed professionally. There are many good restaurants only a few mintues walk from the property, shops (other than food) on "the front" and many cafes.
