St. Simons Island is a quaint village on the Atlantic Ocean that boasts huge live oaks dripping with Spanish moss, marshland views and nature at its best. This historic place has excellent restaurants and wonderful shops as well as bicycle trails, golf courses and tennis courts. The beach itself is very wide, ideal for walking, biking, flying kites, playing games or just relaxing. The famous King and Prince Resort was voted "Georgia's Favorite Beach Resort" by the readers of Southern Living. You can affordably stay at this resort in this beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 bath ocean front condominium which is tastefully decorated with comfort in mind. The balcony features wonderful views and ocean breezes. The condominium complex offers a private pool, hot tub, gas grills and secure, gated parking. The unit has its own assigned covered parking space. Our guests can walk to the village and the pier on the beach or back roads. Some of the best restaurants on the island and bike rental are located just a couple of blocks from the unit.

Excellent Beach Getaway

Really wanted beach view and access and we got it and more. Was great being part of a resort that offered various amenities as well as being autonomous in our own condo. Enjoy the local eating out, taking in and making in.

Great Amenities & fun beach

The condo is pretty dated, but it is nice. The amenities (including heated pool and hot tubs) make it a great fall destination. Good walkable restaurants. Also a great little kid friendly bakery, ice cream, fire pit, and turf/treehouse play area within 100 yards.

Great location! Minutes walk to Crab Trap and other restaurants. Condo could use some upgrades, but overall it was nice.

Weekend with family

Great location very convenient to Pier Village and several restaurants. Nice view of the beach and enjoyed being able to use amenities at the King and Prince. Condo could use some updating.

This villa is outdated. Property is great it just needs a remodel.

King & Prince condo

Great stay at this property. Condo is fine -- very dated, Bathrooms and kitchen in desperate need of update. The building was pretty noisy this time (spring break). We also had an issue with parking. Our car had a luggage box on top and it would not fit under the covered parking spot for this condo, so it was a free for all to get a parking spot.

It’s right on the beach with a gorgeous view, beach chair set up in front, pools are very nice, Echo has great food and customer service, within short walking distance to coffee shop and a handful of restaurants and only 1 mile to downtown! The unit is clean and beds are comfortable with a fully stocked kitchen. It could definitely use some upgrades but overall very nice. I really hope whoever buys it still allows for renters.

nice resort; unclean, outdated unit

The unit was "picked up" but not clean! Ceiling fans needed dusted. Bathroom had hair on the floor upon our arrival! Faucets looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Very outdated. NOT worth the money!!! We LOVED The King and Prince, but this unit was disgusting! St. Simons Island is very nice. We'll return, but NOT to this villa!

Labor Day weekend

Love the location, but the actual condo is very dated. Very low lighting in the kitchen. Unable to use master shower because the thing you pushed in for the shower kept failing and when water did come out of shower head, it had only one setting - the small hard fast circle in the middle. Did look at a lot of pics when planning this trip, but believe the pics I saw were the bait. When I saw the place I had rented, I would not have chosen because the furniture was also dated, except for the sofa - which I loved.

The location is amazing and having access to all of the amenities of the resort is really nice. The dated nature of the property is certainly a detractor though it is accurately advertised. In my opinion the master bed needs to be replaced immediately. I travel a great deal for work and the bed isn't as comfortable as a usual Hilton Garden Inn or Hampton Inn. The are other small elements that could certainly enhance the stay .(there was a broken wine glass in the kitchen, no shampoo samples in the shower, etc.) While not obligatory, when your total fee is over $400 per night, this type of amenity would be appreciated.

Beautiful view

GA Coast Realty was very polite and professional to work with. The condo was clean when we arrived, but is dated with very old and dripping faucets, etc. I would recommend updating the bathrooms & fixtures as the showers were like trickling water fountains. The beds were comfortable and it looks as though the living room furniture has been updated. The price was lower and the pictures are accurate, so we knew we were staying in an older unit. Plenty of linens, dishes, wifi, etc. We didn’t cook in the condo. This was a last minute trip for us and Unit 477 was available. We will stay in K&P again but will likely try for a nicer unit next time.

Great location, bad beds

Great location, very clean but dated. It works fine for vacation though. We gave my mother the primary with a great water view and hubs and I took twin bed room. All beds were bad in our opinion. Mattresses in twin room kind of lumpy and my mother’s was rock hard. She said “it felt like I was sleeping on the floor.” I made a note to management when I returned the keys (easy, fast check-in process, btw). The only thing that was truly annoying but bearable was the trash guy pushing the cart all over the tile walkway. Or other guests with suitcases walking by while you’re sleeping at 1am. If you have a baby/toddler napping this may be a concern and you’d want some kind of noise diffuser. Otherwise, it’s a great spot. Because it was a good value and clean we would stay here again and just bring our own pillows!
