Fun times

We enjoyed our stay, never stayed in Alton Bay before, not my favorite area of the lake, it is busier with boat traffic. However, the house had all that we needed.

Excellent Choice

I liked that it was secluded and quiet but still a quick drive to either Alton or Wolfeboro and only 20 minutes to Guilford. Hannaford supermarket was conveniently close and always well stocked. Having the 2 docks was very helpful and created a safe beach area between the 2. Plenty of water toys (inflatables and kayaks) to play with. Nice views of the mountains across the lake and of the evening sunset. Summers seem to be getting hotter in NH and, just as most other homes on the lake, there is no AC. It did get warm in the house but we could always find shade outdoors facing the lake during the day. Linens were provided free of charge. Internet worked great. Owner was very friendly and responsive and met us and gave us a tour of the property when we arrived. We absolutely enjoyed our 2 weeks there.

Great house on the big lake

Perfect spot for two families with younger kids. The two docks were great, plenty of room for our boat and two jet skis. Great location in Alton Bay, a few minute ride to the town docks for ice cream or takeout. House was plenty big and had lots of beds, and three full bathrooms was a big plus. There is a steep walk to the water, but it is well maintained so not so bad for us, could be harder for some. Overall we had a great week!

Enjoyed our stay

The owner was nice and thorough in his check in process. House was spacious and comfortable. They allow use of their kayaks and floats which was wonderful. Steep path to the water for those with less mobility but great swimming area. I suggest bringing some fans with you. We had a great time.

Perfect vacation spot!

A great way to spend your vacation with your grandkids. Everything you need to relax and spend a week of swimming, hiking, fishing, and boating. The house was absolutely what a family of ten needed and more.

We really enjoyed our stay!

From the moment we sent our first inquiry, Maurice was very quick to reply and helpful in answering our questions. Everything was as expected when we arrived and we were very pleased with the layout of the home and proximity to the lake. Having both floors available for use was helpful for our large family. There were many indoor games and activities that our kids loved, but the dock and other water activities were the highlight for everyone. There is a little shallow sandy area for small kids to play in. The aquaglide was fun for all ages. There were tubes, beach chairs, sand toys, kayaks and other fun things for our family to use. There are two outdoor tables with chairs for people to sit and enjoy the view. There was plenty of space inside for us to spread out. It was peaceful and quiet. We absolutely loved the location, the home, the grounds and being on the lake. We would definitely recommend this home to others! The only thing we would have done differently is to realize sooner that towels and linens are not provided. Many of us were flying to get to this home and hadn't factored that in to the packing.

Regarding our stay at your lovely house.

We had a fantastic week, it was everything we anticipated and more, the house itself was great. There was enough room for all of us, our teenagers loved the game room downstairs, and our 9 year old grandson was thrilled to play on "the beach". The teenagers and grownups had fun with the kayaks and floating dock, they were either in the water or on it. We liked the fact that the house was located near so many attractions and places to shop. Our stay was most pleasurable, we appreciated your concern for our comfort and your personal interactions. We would most certainly recommend vacationing at your rent home. Thank you.

2015 Family Vacation

This was a very nice, relaxing, peaceful vacation. The owner was EXTREMELY quick to respond to all of our correspondence. The owner was more than accommodating to ensure all of our needs were met. Everyone had a great time, using the owner provided kayaks, tubes and other inflatables. The house had spectacular views and it was lovely waking up each morning and enjoying a cup of coffee while watching early morning boaters and jet skiers. It was a slow-paced week, away from the hustle and bustle of nearby tourist towns, though we did take advantage of driving to neighboring towns. My only suggestion would be putting a queen bed in the second bedroom and better lighting in the bedrooms.

A well-appointed house in a lovely setting

Our family enjoyed our visit. The owners were lovely and accommodating and did everything they could to enhance our stay. This house has every convenience you need for a comfortable vacation. The views of the lake are gorgeous. While the lake traffic was heavy on the weekend, it was very peaceful during the week and our children spent most of the week in the water. The house is proximate to many attractions and we took advantage of many of these including restaurants, pubs, arcades, shopping, cycling, golf, hiking, and movie theaters. We would recommend this house and would love to return!
