Unique Ranch stay

I enjoyed my stay at the ranch again this year. It is unique, and a little remote/private without being too far away from all the Sarasota attractions. As always Lauraine is a delight to work with as a host. However, the traffic on I-75 is much worse this year, and the Wifi was not dependable.

Relaxing place to stay!

Me and my family enjoyed our stay! Seeing the horses in the AM was my favorite, it’s not an everyday view. Lauraine is very kind and friendly, not only that, she gives you all the tools needed to make your vacation a memorable one by recommending you some good places to visit. We are thankful for everything and i would consider this place for a future visit.

Awesome Vacations

We had a great time. The scenery was amazingly beautiful. The owner is really nice and helpful. The house was big enough for 9 people. We felt very confortable. Also it was good to have a swimming pool available.

Perfect Spot for Family

The home was convenient to everything but feels like the country. The pool is great for toddlers. I was a bit leery of the suite attached the home we stayed in and shared laundry but it worked out fine. Would definitely recommend! Our family enjoyed our time.

Lauraine was an amazing host! I noticed on some reviews, people did not like that she has people sign the agreement for her to pick up. I loved the personal touch and being able to meet the owner. This made reaching out for a couple of small issues so much less intimidating for me. I also loved the texts with local events in case we were looking for something to do. With family in town, we had quite a bit to do but would have joined in on the festivities had we needed something to do! Great experience!!!

If you love secluded this is it

I don't like crowds. I would rather stay with my family and enjoy the town when I want to and not stay with the town. This place was perfect for me and my family because it was very close to all the best beaches and places yet we could leave and go home to a private, peaceful home with a great atmosphere; very relaxing. Owners were extremely helpful and friendly. We loved it all.

Delightful Family Vacation at the Ranch

We started to feel at home immediately at the Country House of the Ranch. The kitchen was well supplied, the beds were super comfortable, the short walk to the pond and pool area was peaceful, the included washer/dryer area proved to be valueable, a closet full of kids toys was a surprise, all three large screen TV's were a treat, petting goats and ponies were a high point, and being with nine family members did not seem crowded in any way. The owners were very helpful to receive one of our packages and to send us somethings we forgot. We would highly recommend this location due to the proximity to many beaches and attractions off Rt 75.

Perfect Country Paradise

Bits of Paradise Ranch is a true paradise. We stayed at the Country Ranch House it is beautiful and very spacious and comfortable. Impeccably clean. The owner is wonderful she will help you in whatever you need. She will give you suggestions where to go, where to eat. We just stayed the whole week in the ranch enjoying nature, the horses and the pool. We stayed one week too short. It was the perfect vacation that we want to relax and get away from all. It would be perfect vacations for couples and families and for a family reunion since they also have other properties in the ranch.

A Piece of Old Florida

Unique property! We truly enjoyed the peace & quiet among the moss laden Oaks & palm trees, walks in the countryside, visits by the roaming horses, the resident hawks, and the barred owl on his daily perch. Coming "home" was a welcome respite after a busy day at the beach or visiting nearby attractions. The house had everything we needed. One note: the internet service is not reliable so if that is important, you should bring a hot spot. Misleading

Listing did not state it was a shared house, we would not have booked it if we knew. Booking process goes way beyond VRBO's booking portal, needed to send signed agreement, which they made me sign again upon arrival, with verbiage thats NOT on the VRBO booking. We did have a plumbing problem, which they did fix right away.

Hi Mike, I did not realize that the Attached 1 Bedroom Suite was not mentioned in the description and have added that information but it is not advertised with VRBO to rent it. If there was a guest staying in the Attached 1 Bedroom Suite we certainly would tell you but you were the only guests staying in the property. We do require that a rental agreement must be filled out and signed and sent back to us for security reasons. We also have you resign an agreement when you arrive, to make sure the guests who booked the reservation is the same one staying, again for security reasons. Wonderful Family Vacation

This beautiful, tranquil setting was perfect for our family! Adults and kids enjoyed the ranch setting, the views of live oaks and palm trees surrounding the beautiful pool, the daily visits with the horses, and the magic of coming “home” from the day into what felt like entering another world, yet so close to everything. The home itself was very comfortable, with a beautiful kitchen and master bath, kids bath and 3 bedrooms. All the rooms were well furnished. The kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed several home cooked meals there. Loved the charcoal grill and the deck too! I had my morning coffee there and enjoyed the daily bird watching opportunities! The guest house connected to ours gave us the perfect opportunity to have our Florida cousins to come and vacation with us. Such a blessing—memories to treasure! Beach, restaurants, museums, shopping—we enjoyed it all! And Lauraine was such a warm, personable, and caring host.

Relaxing getaway

It was nice to be able to get away to warm south Florida when it was cold at home. The home itself is very comfortable and in a wonderfully relaxing setting. This was so much better than staying in a condo or hotel on the beach where you have to deal with the noise of elevators and boisterous neighbors - none of that here. Admittedly, there is not much to do on the property itself (shared pool did not seem to be open yet for the season), but it served as a good home base for daily adventures. Do keep in mind that although Siesta Key Beach is only a few miles away, it may take 40 min or longer to get there due to traffic. Later in the week, we discovered that Nokomis Beach Park is further away, but takes less time to get to. Highly recommend that beach instead. We brought our dog and the Country House was a good setting for that too (just watch out for the horse droppings when walking your dog). Some parts of the house interior could use cleaning/dusting more often, e.g., lights over the dining table, but house was clean, comfortable and spacious overall.

Michael, Our outdoor pool is always open to our guests but it was a little chilly when you were staying at the ranch and it is not heated. Bit of Paradise

We enjoyed our stay and plan to go back next year. The ranch is a quiet spot in a very busy Sarasota. The ranch is located about a half hour or less from many popular places - Main st in Sarasota, Siesta Key Beach, Venice, Lakewood Ranch, Palmer Ranch. (less than an hour from Punta Gorda, 5 minutes from 75). But, you would never know that while sitting on your porch on the ranch. Hawks, bald eagles, pileated woodpeckers, horses, and a small alligator in the pond. We would meet up with fellows renters at the pool around 5PM for happy hour. They became our vacation family. Lauraine was very helpful with any problems or concerns we had. The only negative was the internet service. The shared DSL is very slow.

Best family vacation ever!

The property was very enjoyable. The horses and other wildlife were a great plus. The house layout was perfect for the size of family that went on vacation.

Beautiful Ranch

We had a wonderful stay at the Bits Of Paradise Ranch. So cool seeing the horses everyday and you are right next to town. A truly great stay!!! We will be coming back!

A memorable experience

My family and I came for a long weekend stay. The grounds were absolutely beautiful and our 2 year old daughter LOVED seeing the horses right outside our house and being able to pet them was an added plus!! You want a relaxing and unique stay this is your place!!! Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back!

Peaceful.

Very peaceful country setting. It was a different stay for us as we always stay in town. It was just like our home in the country. We didn't realize the lanai was a shared space that was kind of a let down but we survived there wasn't anyone there until more towards the end of our stay. The pool was nice but would have been better if it was screened in since its in a wooded area it was a bit dirty, but still refreshing.

Just right out awesome

The stay at Ranch was great. Just being in the country with the horses and the goat grazing feet away from you when you step out the house was amazing. Driving down the dirt road to the ranch made the experience that much better. I would recommend this place to anyone that’s looking for this type of experience. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. We brought a lot of our own supplies because past experiences at other locations gave you a bare bones home that you had to supply everything, not here. Thanks again
