Great place on the creek. Saw wildlife several days off the back deck. Bed was great. Beautiful area with the mountains in the back ground. Was hoping for a little snow maybe next time.
We stayed here from July 3 - 7 and it was wonderful. The place was clean and roomy with a balcony overlooking the Fall River and the mountains. It was conveniently located close to Estes Park and the entrances to Rocky Mountain National Park.
Overall, we had a great stay at Fawn Valley. The location has 360* views of the mountains which can’t be beat. Our kids enjoyed the heated pool and it was never overly crowded. The condo was comfy and provided a nice place to relax after days of walking around downtown Estes Park, swimming in the pool, and our most strenuous day at Rocky Mountain National Park. It’s very conveniently located just a mile from the entrance. The only items we would like to note so they can be addressed by management to make the stay even better for the next guests, and the reasons for a 4 star review instead of 5:
- the shower in the bathroom off the bedroom is not working properly. The temperature of the water could not be controlled, going between flashes of excruciatingly hot water to instantly unbearably freezing. We only used it once each (to make sure it wasn’t a user error) and then we switched to using the shower in the other bathroom. Someone could be injured by the scalding water.
- the oven doesn’t get up to temperature and took a long time to cook food, no potholders
- there is no screen door on the patio door so to be able to hear the river you have to keep the door open with no screen. We ended up with some flying bugs inside because of this.
- the picture of the unit shows a wood burning stove. We may or may not have used it since it’s summer, but cool at night, and it’s not in the unit at all. Pictures of listing and the VRBO listing itself need to be updated.
Loved the property. We were a little afraid when we pulled in. We wanted a balcony where we could hear the water. Was surprised when we opened the door and got what we wanted
This was our second trip here
This was a wonderful location. Less than 5 minutes to Rocky Mountain NP, and a beautiful condo with a stream and a trail right behind the property. The bed and futon were very comfortable and even without AC, it never got very hot even in late July. It was very quiet, people were friendly, and just a great place. The only very minor criticism is the kitchen. It needed a couple things to make it a fully functional kitchen. There was no mixing bowls, cutting board, ice cube trays, and a couple of other kitchen essentials were missed. This is very minor, but it brought an amazing 5 star place down to a 4.5 star. Outside of those small kitchen things this place is 5 star all the way.
The beautiful river/creek running through the back was so wonderful. The only thing that could’ve made it better was if there were four rocking chairs instead of only one. We really enjoyed the warm swimming pool but it ddidnt open till 830 and we needed to hit the road so we only go to swim once. Would be nice if it opened at 7:00am for people who are traveling . We also couldn’t buy ice before we left because the office wasn’t open yet.
Location was what we wanted - close to the Fall River Entrance. Kitchen equipment was a bit sparse but worked fine for breakfast and lunch.
Staff was helpful and friendly.
We stayed at Fawn Valley Inn for 9 days in a one bedroom condo with 2 full baths. Everything was very clean and well-supplied. The king-size bed was extremely comfortable. We haven't slept that well in a long time. We had a great view of the river from our balcony also. Very restful. Our only glitch was our key wouldn't work in the door on the 2nd day and it was "fixed" rather than replaced, so it happened again the next day. Once the door handle was replaced, we were good to go. I would definitely recommend this unit.
Perfect location on the river and couldn’t get much closer to RMNP. The property is a bit old but many renovations have been done. Owners were great with communication. Probably not a better place to stay based on the rate and quality. Would definitely recommend and Estes Park is such a great place.
room was good . view exceptional. Had all the necessities. the staff where all friendly. So comes the problem , We chose this place for the view from the deck that over looks the brook, We would sit out on the deck for hours and relax and listen and watch the view. We had the room for 5 day. Monday and Tuesday where fine. On Wednesday about 8:15 they started to do some kind of construction on a room attached to our condo or room. This rooms door was attached to our deck. So not only was there noise from the work going on there where workers coming in and out of the door on to our deck. (I do not blame workers they where just doing there Job). This also was the case on Thursday. So from about 8am to around 2:30 pm we could not enjoy the deck for two days. However I tried, my wife would not sit on the deck with me. When I said something to the desk they just made an excuse and did not seem to care. my view is there is a check out time of 10 am no late check outs, and check in time of 4pm no early check inns . It seems to me the work could have been done during this time. our do not rent the room for a day or two to do the work. We paid a lot for this condo/room and did not get to enjoy the main benefits of the room for two days. So because the desk or property did not seem to care about our concerns I would probably not stay at this place again. Please note we come to estas park at least every outher year if not more.
We really enjoyed our stay at Fawn Valley Inn for a wonderful fall weekend. The unit is very spacious and has all the little touches you might need. I particularly appreciated the kitchen which was well-supplied and very clean. It's nice to be right on the river and very close to one of the RMNP entrances. Highly recommended.
The picture on line looked like a stand alone cabin. It was a multi unit 3 story building. However the unit was very clean spacious with two T.V's. We would stay there again. More lighting would greatly improve first impression.

Not curb appealing
We were skeptical about the place when we pulled to check in. You go into a hallway and up some stairs to get to the unit. The unit was a nice size and the king bed was great. However the water pressure was next to none. Took a long time to rinse off in the shower. The unit has two doors, one being in the bedroom. They need to have a better seal around them as they let a lot of the hallway light in while trying to sleep. It is a dated unit, with the toilets being really low and counters were low as well. I'd say it was a little over priced for what we got.

Absolutely lovely!
The unit was adorable, cozy and clean. The location was so peaceful and Elk were all over the place. The unit has absolutely everything you need to be comfortable and prepare meals at home if you want. The fireplace was a great addition and sitting outside on the porch in the evening listening to the river was so tranquil. The management team on site was so friendly and the owner beyond helpful! The bed was so comfy and so appreciated after a long day hiking. The only little negative was water pressure and temperature...needed to be a little stronger and warmer. Absolutely loved the place and plan on returning!
