Quaint home with everything you need. Isolated enough but close to town, bed slept great, we loved the shower and hot tub. Would like to return again in the summer!
Cabin was perfect location for day hiking the state parks. Location was secluded but easily accessible. Bathroom was updated and the hot tub on the deck was perfect after long days of hiking. Great retreat for two!
Adorable cabin, lovely fireplace, wonderful hot tub. Cabin is located in a very nice neighborhood but on a very steep hill. Perfect place for a getaway for 2.
This is a fabulous location. The cabin was lovely hot tub above average. I couldn’t find the internet but properties manager was quick to respond. Just a great stay
My Fiancé and I spent about a week at this cozy little cabin. We enjoyed every bit of it. The Cabin was clean and well-maintained, the owner was a pleasure to deal with, and there were no surprises. Had a great stay, and would highly recommend to anyone considering this cabin.
Thank you, Julie. Your place is always clean and cozy and the hubby and I love staying here. The perfect location with beautiful views, easy access to Lake Burton, and close to Moccasin Creek State Park. House is stocked with anything you could possibly need (besides food). The owner is kind, easy to communicate with, and makes sure the place is perfect for her guests. You’ll love this place!
Great getaway into a quaint cabin in the mountains by the lake. With hopes of fishing and some quiet times away from the city life. We love the woods and the “quest” to find public land to fish on around lake Burton but found only less than a hand full of spots that we were welcome at. We did love our accommodations Most of the time it was quiet and peaceful.overall we had a pleasant time I just wish the entire lake wasn’t privatized by homes and fences that don’t let people enjoy the beauty of such a place with out paying a premium.
House was lovely. Neighborhood was quiet & serene.
Need to change listing to what is posted in house about boat (no boats/trailers on premises). This is a house on the lake & I thought I would be able to bring my boat. As it turns out we didn't & it's a good thing we didn't otherwise we wouldn't have been able to manage it.
Also..... multiple lights were out throughout the house & outside: Did Not take away from romantic charm - just thought you should know.
This little house was the perfect getaway for my husband and I to have some down time. The GPS was not accurate so make sure to have good directions from the owner. Also it is a pretty steep drive up to the property but that part is short. We had our boat so there was some logistical issues to that as we weren’t allowed to park our trailer at the community dock overnight but we were able to park it at the marina for a small fee. The owner was very pleasant to work with and the house was very clean and comfortable. The private hot tub was super relaxing looking out on the mountains. There was a string of white lights that went up to a sitting area. It was a lovely stay and we would definitely stay here again.

Cute Cabin but Hard to Find
The home was very cute and once we got there, we were very happy with it. We throughly enjoyed the dogs being able to hang out on the deck with us and the hot tub was nice. However, getting there was quite a challenge. The road that the house is on is actually off of an unmarked road. We drove past that road at least four times and when I tried to call the owner for help, I got no answer. Finally, we just started driving up the various unmarked roads looking for the road the house was supposed to be on. We found it after an hour of aimless driving around Lake Burton. Also, the docks are a good trek by foot. We wanted to go kayaking, but getting the kayak to the dock was way too much of a challenge.

I am so sorry you had a difficult time finding the cabin! All streets are in fact marked, but may be a little difficult to see if at night. I did leave a message for you, but did not receive a call back, so thought all was well. Next time you come, feel free to drive to the lake, even though most prefer to walk. There is plenty of parking at the dock!
Beautiful location and accommodations. The cabin is perfect for a couple's getaway (or alone time). The hot tub was wonderful. There isn't a DVD player as listed, there is however, good wifi for streaming.
Highly recommend!
This is a handsomely appointed cottage in the woods with pinewood paneling throughout, and a large deck. It is quiet and cozy. Perfect for a quiet getaway or a romantic weekend. The shared dock is less than 1/2 mile away, an easy walk or quick drive, and parking is available at the dock. The area overall is quiet and well forested, giving a contemplative atmosphere to this well settled lake community.
We had a great time! The listing is very accurate in its description. We made use of the hot tub a couple of times, it is great for cold weather. It’s about 20 minutes from Clayton which has everything you could need. It is the perfect location. The cabin is the perfect amount of space for two people. Conversation with the owner was easy and she responded with in a couple of hours every time. We will be recommending to our friends!
Property manager answered any questions we had right away. The property has a great sunset, size, location for my wife and 2 pups. We would definitely go there again. Thank you letting us stay there.
Pleasant cabin for two in a tree sheltered Mountainside community. Easy walk to the lake dock and wooded areas for walking. The cabin is nicely furnished and has a large deck with Mountain View’s and a large, clean outdoor hot tub. It is easy to get to good hiking spots and restaurants in nearby towns. A safe and enjoyable place to vacation.
The cabin is adorable and well maintained. The outside space is very comfortable. We would stay here again. The dock area is not as close as I had expected, but it was not a problem for us.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in
Disliked: Location, listing accuracy
Not Happy
The picture of the property on the VRBO listing showed two chairs on a dock overlooking the lake. To get to that location you had to drive or walk 1/2-3/4 mile down a narrow road and be careful of your footing. From the property deck we could not see the lake. The amenities listed “tv”, but we could not get it to work. Julie tried to help, but we never got it to work. We had a few other disappointments so only stayed two days. Just was not what we expected.
Me, my fiancé, and our 10 year old dog, Duke, has a great stay! Everything was super easy and clean! Location was awesome- up on there trees with easy access to lake. Loved hiking and swimming and checking out all the lakes! Would def stay again! Thanks! Kristin & Bob
We had a great trip! Perfect place for a couples getaway. Clayton and Lake Burton a really neat places. Plenty to eat, see and do. Highly recommend this cabin and this destination.
