Spectacular sun-drenched multi-level designer home 2 miles up Sunshine Canyon; 5 minutes to downtown Boulder. Open design surrounded with windows and sliding glass doors. Two luxury master suites with soaking tubs, steam shower. Radiant floor heat and wood burning fireplace, 2 of the upper level bedrooms and the entire lower level walk-out have AC. New salt supported Hot Tub and fitness room. Home is a short walk to Lion's Lair hiking trail and Centennial Trail which runs all the way into Boulder.

The 3 level home features 5 bedrooms and 4 and 1/2 bathrooms. The main level has a master bedroom with ensuite bathroom, kitchen, living room, dining room and fitness room. Upstairs you will find two master bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and private decks. The sunny lower level features 2 queen bedrooms, 1 full bathroom, a spacious living room w/ TV, dining area, kitchenette and 2nd laundry room. This inviting space can be accessed via a staircase from the main home or through a separate entrance.

AWD is required in the winter; two garage spaces are available.

Wonderful location

My family and I had a great stay. Perfect location with lots of hiking in the area and just a short drive to Pearl St. The house had a comfy couch with a great view, plus a shuffleboard table. Amy was an excellent host and I highly recommend staying here for a nice getaway in the mountains.

Host was amazing, house is special and awesome, hiking trail walking distance. Lots of little touches like toto Japanese toilets, great tea selection etc. checkout process was really easy. All around perfect!

Wow, an incredible place to stay in Boulder

We had such a fun 4 day trip in Boulder. An almost 360 deg view looking right down on Boulder. A very short distance to Pearl Street Mall and morning coffee. Everything about the property was first class. Hiking trails literally down the road. Hosts made everything so nice. Highly recommended for couples or families visiting Boulder.

Perfect location - in the mountains, but an easy 5-10 minute drive from town. We were able to doordash and get an Uber. Beautiful home and amazing views. I was shocked at how stocked pantry was with spices and general items that you don't think to buy. We would happily stay here again!

Amy's house was perfect for us three girls. We needed a base camp for our outdoor activities, with lots of room to spread out, yet close to our plans in Boulder. We were sounded by beautiful views, outdoor spaces to take it mountain air, and we even spotted some rabbit and deer. The drive into Boulder through the historic district was only 10 mins to Pearl Street local restaurants, bookstores, coffee shops, close to the Flat Irons, Boulder Creek path, and hiking spots right by the house! The kitchen was perfect, had everything we needed and more, the beds were comfy, and a favorite was an extra daybed space in the living room where we could lounge, feeling like we were in a treehouse with birds all around. Amy has a soft spirit, and available if you need her. Wouldn't stay anywhere but here on a return trip.

The Absolute Perfect Place!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this incredible property. It is the perfect location, as we could be at the Pearl Street Mall/downtown Boulder in less than a 5 min drive, but also could enjoy the peace and serenity of mountain living once we were done playing in Boulder. We enjoyed walking from the house to a popular trailhead for a fun morning hike and then came back for breakfast on the deck which has gorgeous views! The location could not be any better for us, as far as conveniently enjoying the best of both worlds. In regards to the house itself, in one word - fabulous! There were 6 of us, so it was nice that we all had our own bedroom and bathroom. The bathrooms are spacious and I loved soaking in the tub while looking out at the lovely view. Beds were very comfortable as well. The house is beautiful - open and bright and very conducive to just hanging out and enjoying one another's company. Being surrounded by nature was a special treat for us. We had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Our host, Amy, was lovely. Prior to our arrival, she answered all of our questions quickly and was very attentive to a couple of our special requests. She even offered us a spot in the garage to park our car! 5 star experience and I would definitely stay here again!

This was a wonderful, quiet, convenient refuge for us while we attended many events surrounding a family wedding. Clean and quiet, well appointed and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again if we ever returned to Boulder.

This was one of the best stays I've had! The house was incredible and very accommodating with amazing views of the mountains, plenty of close hiking trails, gorgeous sunrises and extremely close to many things to do, such as downtown restaurants and shopping. Fab location!! Comfy and Clean!

We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Boulder. Staying just up the canyon allows you to get to downtown Boulder so quickly and you can easily Avoid the traffic. The house and bedding was all around so comfortable, and we absolutely loved playing shuffle board nightly. A short walk up steps will lead up to entry from car/parking, so not great if someone has accessibility issues. Otherwise, an amazing spot and a great value.

We loved the house. It was clean, private and had everything we needed. Amy the host couldn’t have been more friendly & helpful. We had so much fun playing shuffleboard and just hanging out. We enjoyed out stay at Sunshine Canyon. It was very close to hiking and the town. It is a very quiet neighborhood. This is the basement of the owners main house. It was clean and comfortable. We were a family of 5. If you want to make meals here versus go into town and have dinner, I wouldn't stay here. There really isn't enough room in the kitchen. For just a couple, it would be fine. Also, there isn't a microwave. If you use a microwave a lot, its a minor inconvenience. The only thing that bothered me was since this is a basement, the basement door is locked but anyone upstairs can come down into the apartment. The young lady that was upstairs came downstairs by accident. She apologized but it made me think, I can't lock that door. My boys absolutely loved the shuffle board. They had a lot of fun. Overall, the place is very nice and clean. We would stay again.

Relaxing getaway

I stayed here while traveling for work. It is a great place to relax at the end of the evening and enjoy the beautiful views. Close access to hiking trails also made it easy to get out and enjoy nature. I really enjoyed my stay here.

My husband and I stayed at Amy’s place on our first trip to Boulder. Easy to find, close to town but far enough away to feel like we were way out of town. Hiking trails nearby. Home was well stocked, bed was comfortable and we enjoyed playing shuffleboard.

Best Boulder with Mountain Experience

Staying at this house had everything a visitor to Boulder who also wants the mountain experience could desire. Coffee in the morning surrounded by clear air and a beautiful view. Close to Boulder amenities - less than a 10 minute drive. Great place for cooking in the evening and still enjoying the scenery. Lots of glass walls looking out on nature. Very comfortable and the owner responds immediately with any needs that may arise. It is also a great place to have friends over for relaxation.

Why they chose this property

This is a lovely place to rest and reflect, with hiking trails and only 3 minutes into downtown Boulder. Even though this is a private setting, it is a mountain neighborhood where sound travels in canyon and therefore no events or loud gatherings, respecting the privacy and serene setting for all who enjoy living here.

What makes this property unique

My home has a beautiful and energetically open sense. It is very zen like in beauty and also has a lovely luxurious feeling as well
