Johnson Carriage House-Walk to Downtown Black Mountain


Johnson Carriage House is a second floor unit located right in Black Mountain with all of the amenities of home. Enjoy two full bedrooms and two full baths, your own single car garage, large living space and large kitchen just four blocks from the center of town and charming Cherry St. This new construction house has vaulted ceilings with antique wood beams and lots of natural light that gives this space a comfortable, clean and bright feel.
The master bedroom has a king sized bed and flat screened tv with private access to the rear screened porch. The master bath has tile shower and double vanity. The second bedroom has two twin beds and a flat screened tv with access to the front porch. The second bathroom has a full shower/bath and single vanity with a stack-able washer and dryer.
Kitchens have become a central part of our homes, and the Johnson Carriage House is no exception, with granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, and stocked with all the amenities you will need for a comfortable stay. This space flows out to the rear screened in porch with outdoor dining area and built in grilling station.
Back inside, the dining area seats 4-8 at the dining room table plus seating for 4 at the counter top bar. The living room has comfortable reclining sofa and chair with a gas fireplace, flat screen tv, and small computer station. This space leads to the front porch, with rocking chairs and year round views of Rattlesnake Mtn.
The Johnson Carriage House is a second floor unit and is accessed from the private single garage. It's located on the corner of Montreat Rd. and Beech St. and is next to the property manager’s private home and also above their private garage. The Johnson family will be sure to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Our second stay at this wonderful property in Black Mountain! We love being able to walk to town and walk to Montreat and being able to see the beautiful mountains! The beds are super comfy and the kitchen is the best one of any of our VRBO properties! Can't wait to come back again!

This was a very nice home to stay in for the weekend. The open space that flows into the kitchen was exactly what we wanted. The bedrooms were on either side of the home opposite each other, both having doors leading to their own covered deck. Absolutely great location! Only about a half mile to shopping/dining in downtown Black Mountain. Also not far from Asheville. If we decide to stay in Black Mountain again, we will definitely see if this property is available.

This was a great rental! Beautiful house, modern on the inside and a very well outfitted kitchen. It's an easy walk to downtown and the little farmer's and crafts market on the weekend. I loved that we could keep the car in the garage, too. Would definitely stay here again!

AMAZING Carriage House Close to Everything in BM

We had a wonderful stay! It was just enough room for our family of four. This house has everything you would ever need and more (2 porches, all kitchen utensils, amazing master shower heads, etc.). The Johnson’s thought of it all when designing. We will definitely be back!

This was our first trip to Black Mountain! We fell in love with the city, the restaurants, the trails and this sweet carriage house. The house was clean, comfortable, and the location was great. We would absolutely stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay in the Johnson Carriage House. Easy access to downtown Black Mtn and I-40. The primary bdr king size bed was very comfortable. The master bathroom was also nice with dual sink vanity and roomy shower with multiple shower heads. Large and well equipped kitchen with beautiful cabinets, counters, and lighting. Screen porch with a grill was extra special. Very nice place!

Our dear friends stayed here to be near our home which is too small for another couple. The house exceeded their expectations and had everything they could have needed. It was their first visit to Black Mountain and the location was perfect. Very walkable to town and the garage was a nice plus.

A great place to stay!

We enjoyed our stay so much. The home is lovely and so clean. Everything is so well maintained. The kitchen is just amazing. If you like to cook and enjoy a meal with your travelers you will not be didsapointed. Great location and even a garage to park inside.

Residents of Charlotte, NC for over forty years, they now enjoy spending most of their time at their house on High Rock Lake. Often on the go, the Johnsons enjoy traveling with friends, visiting their daughter and her family in Raleigh, NC, and spending time with their son and his family in Black Mountain. The Carriage House is managed by the Johnson's son, Adam, and his wife, Liz.
