Super convenient, close to Hunter

Comfortable stay with plenty of room and very close to Hunter Mountain for skiing. Views of the slopes from the hot tub were fantastic

Fantastic place - amazing location right on main street but it leads out back to a private yard with an amazing view of the mountains. Inside is set up with amazing places to hang out and relax. Fully renovated kitchen. Lots of attention to detail makes this a really lovely location, can't recommend enough.

We had a great stay at this mountain house! The home was very clean, spacious, and in an unbeatable location. Close to the mountain with incredible views! One of the highlights was relaxing in the hot tub and being able to see the fireworks, which was such a fun and memorable bonus.Pros:Very clean home and hot tubAmazing location and proximity to the mountainEspresso machine was an added plusCrockpot available (always appreciated!)Cons (helpful to know for future guests):Most of the remotes didn’t work and likely just needed new batteriesNo lighter available for the fireSeveral lightbulbs were out, making parts of the house darker than expected (fridge light, kitchen lights, some nightstand lights, and one broken lamp in the living room)Access to the back may be difficult for anyone with mobility issuesOverall, this is a great place to stay, especially for the location, cleanliness, and views. Great ski house at Hunter Mountain

Recently re-modeled house that is located very close to the mountain. The house was very nice, and has a nice 'ski house' feel to it, complete with a hot tub on the back porch. Overall, I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a place in the area.

Amazing

It's a beautiful house on a perfect and beautiful location surrounded by hills. Plenty of sleeping accomodation and parking. Very close to the gas station and most of the attractions. We stayed 3 nights including adults and kids. Loved the basement setup for games and kids loved it. Definitely recommend if traveling with family and friends.

Nice place.

We really enjoyed our stay in Hunter. The house met our needs well for a large family gathering. The hot tub and game room were excellent. Beutiful inside.It is close to shopping and hiking trails in the area. We did a lot of cooking and could have used larger cutting boards and baking/roasting pans. Be aware that the house is right on the main road into Hunter. The pinball machine was frustrating at times because the ball would get stuck.Overall it was a great stay.

A nice, outdoorsy vibe for a weekend getaway from the huste and bustle of the city.

What you see is exactly what you get, and more. The property is perfectly nestled at the base of Hunter Mountain and the rest of the Catskill Range, providing spectacular views and a cozy retreat. The cabin itself offers plenty of amenities, making for a comfortable stay.However, if you're looking for activities beyond hiking and browsing small local shops, there isn't much to do in the immediate area, so you'll definitely need a car to get around. While most of the cabin was clean and well-maintained, we did come across some unwashed plates, which was a bit of a turn-off, though not a major issue.Overall, it's a great spot for a quiet, scenic getaway, especially if you're looking to relax with family or friendship and enjoy

Great Place!

The house was much bigger than expected. The house was funly decorated, we loved the game room, hot tub and fire pit. Everything we needed was there and it was very comfortable. The only item i’d mention considering looking into changing is the outside lighting. It is on a movement sensor which goes on and off a lot. We would try not to move while on the deck so we could enjoy the stars.

Outstanding

We decided on a trip to Hunter Mountain with our family and some of my sons friends. I came across this house and let me tell you the pictures do not do it justice it’s even better in person!! We were beyond happy with the house and the location…. The house was fully stocked with everything you could imagine. So much room for our group of 13 including our golden retriever! The kids and adults loved the game room some adults even had a Pac-Man competition. We will definitely stay at this house again and I would highly recommend it!!

Brief Ski Trip

From our Group, Pros: It is a really nice, very clean home with lots of games in basement and nice hot tub out on deck. Great gathering place. Would stay again, nice location too. Has lots of room for a big group. The host was very nice and answered all emails immediately. Cons: Heavier fuller curtains in rooms that face the street would be nice. Was concerned with exit door facing street, children can push it open from inside. We had 2 yr old and baby not sure it is conducive for those ages with woodburner and stairways but we managed.

Great Stay

We had a great stay- a lot of sleeping space, basement was a nice separate space as well as the front of the house. We were confused by the stove top needing to use specific pots and pans. Other than that, the hot tub was great, we needed it to be filled but they had a company come to do that ASAP. One thing I would recommend for the property manager would be to make sure they are stocked up on toilet paper/paper towels and trash bags (we had a group of 8 adults for 2 nights) so we went through what they had in the house. Also- double checking the hot tub level as well as pot holders prior to guests checking in. Other than that, location was amazing- super close to hunter mountain, right next to a rental shop and right on the main street. Would stay again!

Great property. Great location

Hot tub was awesome, property clean. Excellent location. Rented our ski right next door! Little store is walking distance and had everything we needed. Hunter mountain is not even a 5 min drive. Brewery with great food a 2 min drive. The 4 stars for communication is because we had some difficulty with property manager communicating effectively, (the TV's were complicated) though they did respond, however once the owner reached out all was fine. 4 stars for game room because it was not fully functioning as described. The video game machine and pinball machine do not work. If those were fixed this property is a 5 plus. Overall highly recommend.

Beautifully Renovated Property

We enjoyed our stay at the house on Main Street. Half of our group are architects and we did not waste a minute critiquing the property renovation which we all concluded was done tastefully and very functional. We loved the loft area and all the beds but did find it to get warmer as less cool air circulated up there. Had we visited in the winter it would not have been an issue. We loved the house overall, loved the location and the kids enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit below! The views of Hunter mountain were great in the morning and evening. One item we felt lacked was the amount of towels. For a house that sleeps 14 people, there were not enough towels for showering and or using after the hot tub. That being said we would definitely stay here again and bring some towels from home. We flew in from out of state and did not pack our own. Also, unlike a lot of houses we have stayed at, there were very little dry condiments/seasoning around so be sure to bring anything outside of salt and pepper.

Unfortunately, this was not the rental it should have been. Notably, the Vrbo ad was misleading as to both the number and layout of the beds...kinda a big deal when you're traveling with a large family group of mixed ages. Secondly, it didn't seem like the house was really ready for us - we needed numerous essentials (pillows, towels, sheets, cups, etc.) upon check-in and multiple amenities were either broken, missing, or not in good working order for use. Though, we did our best to communicate with the host about all of these things, we found their interactions became increasing condescending and argumentative to the point where the trip was heavily soured by back and forth messages.

Fun Place!

Family and I had a great time. The game room and hot tub with a beautiful view of Hunter mtn were a hit with my kids. Owner was very attentive to our needs. I highly recommend if looking for a spacious Mountain house.

Our Stay

Our close group of friends and our dog stayed at this home 7/12-7/16. We enjoyed our stay and the house was very clean when we arrived. The location was very ideal. It was private with gorgeous views of the mountains and it was maybe a 5 min drive down the road to the closest grocery store. There are "ads" on all of the front windows, they are not pictured in the photos of the home but it did not make a difference in our stay whatsoever. There was only one roll of paper towels and no wash cloths/oven mitts in the kitchen but regardless of these couple things that we had to run out and buy once we arrived; we would recommend this cute home! We would definitely stay here again!

Days and Nights Full of Unforgettable Memories

This property was absolutely fantastic. My 7 friends and I originally planned to stay for 2 nights, but we decided on 3. Aggie made the booking process easy, and was overall a fantastic representative to speak to. She's responsive, answered all of our questions, and really knew what she was doing. The 5 star house lives up to its rating and was beyond perfect for my group. It's exciting with an attractive interior design, plenty of sleeping space, and a game room (which my group spent most of our time in) equipped with a pinball machine, ping pong, air hockey, and lounging area. The hot tub outside was clean and there was plenty of places to sit on the deck. The view of the mountains was amazing and the stars at night were nothing short of incredible. Great area, fun house, communicative host- this is a good place to book.
