Picturesque and quiet

This is not a flat in a crowded town. It is a classic 50's style English cottage beautifully situated on a rock outcrop overlooking fields in a quiet village very close to lake Windemere. Beautiful views from panoramic windows, gardens and numerous bird feeders. The two bedrooms, kitchen, lounge and bathroom are well appointed and very well equipped. There is a massive DVD, library and board game collection, DVD player and medium-sized flat-screen TV with satellite. Also an excellent-sounding vintage Ipod dock, with adapters to accommodate newer phones and MP3 players. The lounge has a wood and coal-burning fireplace, very nice in the evening. This is a place to come to get away from it all. There is no broadband, nor wifi, nor land line. Mobile reception is OK for the O2 network in some parts of the house. Finally, the hosts go to great effort to pack the house out with guide books, artisan tea, coffee, biscuits, milk, dry wood, all the needful things. Very open-handed with lots of advice and recommendations.
