October in Pahoa

Great location two blocks from the sea handy for Volcano National Park We had a great stay and enjoyed our time in this property Elphie was a great host and very knowledgable in regard to the area. Up to date maps and guidebooks (provided by the host) were really helpful for exploring the Puna area Breakfast outside on the private terrace is a great way to start your day. Rooms are spacious and well equipped with an excellent walk in shower, the bed was comfortable. Linens and towels were all good quality. Kitchen is well stocked lots of utensils for self catering along with a BBQ-Grill. TV in the lounge and excellent wi-fi throughout the property. Additional beach gear was available if required

Perfect hideaway.

We got upgraded to the suite upstairs because the bungalow was being renovated. Wow what a fantastic upgrade :) Elfie and Manfred were the perfect hosts and their place was absolutely gorgeous with great views, undisturbed tranquility and great access to both Hilo and the Volcanoes national park. Clean, bright and beautiful place to be away from everything and still not too far away.

Popaa vacation

The owners were amazing they came and checked on us daily offer to give us any information we may need about the area. Saw whale sitting on the deck. Brow was beautiful!! Great place to just relax and not have busy streets etc.

Peaceful Paradise

We were greeted as soon as we arrived which made for clear instructions and communication. There isn't AC, but every single window and door has screens in it, so there is a beautiful breeze flowing through the whole bungalow. You can see the ocean from pretty much every room. We did not have good cell phone service, but that added to the experience for me. ;) We enjoyed cooking and sitting on the patio the most. Pahoa is a gem of a town. I look forward to the next time we can stay.
