Why they chose this property

Ambleside is in the heart of the English Lake District so there are many attractions in the local area. My dad worked at Windscale UKAE and used to drive through Ambleside on way up there from Warrington. When he retired he bought Lingmell as he loved the lakes and we decided to keep it in the family.

Take in the amazing views from the wide balcony of this spacious detached home, surrounded by gardens.

Waterhead and Lake Windermere are only a five-minute, level walk from the property.

Guests also enjoy access to a heated indoor swimming pool with jacuzzi and separate tots’ pool, located adjacent to the house. Having a heated swimming facility virtually next door is incredibly convenient — whatever the weather.
