Nestled away down a quiet country lane in the picturesque village of Bolam, County Durham the converted cottage sits behind the owners’ home. The property looks across far-reaching rural views and also boasts a private hot tub a perfect retreat to get away from everyday life. Whether you are looking for a romantic break or time away with the family, the cottage is a fantastic base for great days out across the Durham Dales.
The village is home to a well-established, local pub which serves quality food and drink. It is also a haven for keen ramblers and cyclists with numerous bridleways and cycle tracks located right on your doorstep which will take guests through natural woodland, open fields and across to many of the quaint villages for you to explore.
There are so many amazing places to visit, including The North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, nearby Raby Castle is one of the best preserved castles in North East England, where herds of deer live wild, or enjoy the spectacular views at the beautiful High Force Waterfall in Teesdale. Explore historic market towns such as Barnard Castle, Richmond and Bishop Auckland which will play host to the magical Kynren Eleven Arches Spectacular set against the magnificent backdrop of Auckland Castle from June to September.The city of Durham and surrounding areas are home to many popular tourist attractions including castles and a cathedral, Jazz festivals, Lumiere light festival, restaurants and attractions for the whole family. Other places of interest are Hamsterley Forest, Beamish Museum, York, the Angel of the North, Newcastle and the Metrocentre .
