A fabulous stay coutesy of Charo at this wonderful example of historical Velancian architecture. The property as been fully modernised and renovated and was extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. Charo was exceptionally helpful and provided very clear instructions. Alboraya made a fantastic base for visiting Valencia and the local beaches (via free bus service!) but the town itself has a great deal to offer and is now on our list of definite re-visits.

A week in Valencia

Lovely authentic property in the heat of a Spanish town. Only 15 mins to the heart of vValencia. Recommend a car for easy trips to the beach. Fully equipped house with some staple provisions provded. Charo is a lovely lady who loves her house and you will learn lots on the handover. Very enjoyable stay.

One week in a historic Valencian house

We had a lovely stay in Charo's historic, beautifully renovated house. It works as a perfect spot if you want to experience Valencia's culture or enjoy the beaches around. The local bus will take you to the beach within a short time. The house is close to the metro, so you can get around easily. The apartment appeared very clean and the communication with Charo worked perfectly.

Nice house, close to the Subway

Nice house, communication was a little bit difficult. House location was a 5 min walk to the Subway. Host was very flexibel and a Nice person, she had al the time to explane everything

Siento no hablar holandés; como os comenté estoy ahora estudiando inglés y hablo francés y un poco de italiano, para poder tener una experiencia más fluida con mis huéspedes. Aún así, la herramienta del Google Traductor creo que subsanó bastante las limitaciones lingüísticas mutuas. Como solicitasteis, tuvisteis un Chekin con horas de antelación a la habitual, y también un chekout de 7-8 horas más extras adicionales a la hora habitual de salida. En ambos casos hicimos un gran esfuerzo esos días para poder satisfacerlos, que siempre es el objetivo con nuestros huéspedes. Espero hayáis disfrutado de vuestra experiencia en la casa y seréis bienvenidos en otra ocasión si queréis regresar a visitar Valencia. Saludos!

Beautiful house in a such a nice village

The house is amazing, full of character and history. It's situated in a small village next to Valancia. So nice to be in a typical spanish place without any tourists. We rented a bike for all these days. In 15 minutes we were in the centre of Valencia and within 10 minutes on the beach. The stay in the house was wonderful, good beds (important!), a patio to have our breakfast and a modern kitchen. Two small supermarkets around the corner, open 7 days a week till 23 h. The communication with Charo was good. She's fast in her answers and before we left, she came and told us the storie of the house, very interesting. And as a person; she is so nice. We were 2 moms and 3 children (all in their early twenties). We all loved it, the vibe of this unique house, the little squares with their bars, the friendliness of the Spanish there. So this place is highly recommanded. If we will go back to Valencia, we will definately stay in Charo's house in Alboraya, no doubt about that!!

Out of Town, but So Close to Everything!

Charo's fabulous classic house in Alboraia is as perfect as it could be. Beautifully, and lovingly restored; thoughtfully equipped; comfortable and convenient. We stayed in the middle bedroom which was whisper quiet with a firm but very comfy bed. Every night we slept like babies. In the mornings we used the moka pots to make great coffees and start our day leisurly before going for runs or walks to the Barranca and the beach (1.5 km away). The house is near everything: markets, metro, cafes. We travel with carry-on luggage only and had no trouble using metro (Jesus station) to get to the house from Sorolla Station - we used the AVE from Madrid. The local municpal market is great, and getting to other spots in Valencia was easy. Charo helped us visit the Albufera, which we could get to in exactly one hour from the house by taking metro to Alameda, walking 5- 7 minutes to Puerta del Mar and catching the 25 bus to El Saler. Very easy, even for us Californians who are used to using cars too much! The best part of the house is that you are staying in an authentic piece of Valencian history; it is charming, and lovely and the details have been carefully considered. For example, in the small bathroom it has been expertly renovated so that it functions like a much bigger space with a generously big sink, hooks for towels, and places for toiletries, and prepping for your day. Plus, there are good mirrors in the other rooms so that you can finish there while the bathroom is in use by another. The shower was excellent. It was cold in Valencia while we were there, but Charo warned us and we packed accordingly and were perfectly comfortable despite the rain, cool floors, a light winds. Charo was one of the best hosts we have ever encountered in 20 years of VRBO! She communicated accurately and punctually always; and was VERY, VERY helpful when we had a problem with our second apartment in town that we moved to for the second half of our Valencian holiday. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Charo! Gracias! We wish we could have stayed in Alboraia for the whole three weeks!

Das Haus war super sauber. Die Einrichtung ist sehr geschmackvoll und komfortabel. In der Küche findet sich alles, was man zum Kochen braucht. Es verfügt über eine sehr gute Klimatisierung und eine absolut zuverlässige Warmwasserversorgung. Die Infrastruktur in der Umgebung ist hervorragend. Es gibt fußläufig einen Bäcker, eine Post, eine Kirche, mehrere Supermärkte, Apotheken, Bars, Restaurants. Alboraya ist ein sehr schönes, sauberes Dorf in der Peripherie von Valencia. Die Anbindung an die Metro und den öffentlichen Busverkehr ist exzellent. Es gibt mehrere direkte Verbindungen zum Flughafen und zur Innenstadt. Unsere Gastgeberin hat sich um alles gekümmert. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

Reseña en español, más abajo.Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt in der Ferienwohnung. Die Unterkunft war sauber, gut ausgestattet und angenehm ruhig. Auch die Lage war für uns sehr praktisch: Die Metro war nur etwa fünf Minuten zu Fuß entfernt, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten befanden sich ebenfalls in der Nähe und der Strand war bequem mit einem kostenlosen Bus erreichbar.Besonders hilfreich war, dass wir von der Gastgeberin direkt einen Fahrplan für den Bus erhalten haben. Sie war insgesamt sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, sodass wir uns während unseres Aufenthalts rundum wohlgefühlt haben.Wir können die Ferienwohnung auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Tuvimos una estancia muy agradable en el apartamento. El alojamiento estaba limpio, bien equipado y era muy tranquilo. La ubicación también nos resultó muy práctica: la estación de metro estaba a solo unos cinco minutos a pie, había tiendas cerca y se podía llegar cómodamente a la playa en un autobús gratuito.Agradecimos especialmente que la anfitriona nos proporcionara directamente el horario del autobús. Fue muy amable y servicial en todo momento, por lo que nos sentimos muy a gusto durante toda la estancia.Recomendamos totalmente este apartamento y volveríamos encantados.

Het huis is origineel, met oude details.Ligt in rustige straat.Charo is een schat! (Lang leve vertaal-app want ze spreekt geen engels. Maar via whatsapp makkelijk contact.Wij hadden bedacht om alles op fiets te doen, naar strand en stad. Maar er mogen geen fietsen in t huis, en 5 fietsen huren in dorpje lukte niet (1 plaats lag naast metro maar was defect. De andere lag stuk verder,maar waren geen 5 fietsen.Metro lukte ons niet.Bus had gekund, die lag om de hoek. Maar met 39 graden wil je niet 40 min met OV naar stad/strand.Uber werkt prima. Maar uiteindelijk wel erg prijzig voir een week.

Las temperaturas cercanas a los 39 °C son muy habituales en la Comunidad Valenciana durante los meses centrales del verano, lo que a veces puede condicionar los planes al aire libre. Si decidís volver a visitarnos, os recomendamos viajar en meses más suaves como abril, mayo, junio, septiembre u octubre, que ofrecen un clima perfecto para disfrutar y moverse con total comodidad. Para un grupo de cinco personas, alquilar un coche también puede ser una opción estupenda y económica para explorar no solo Valencia (donde se aparca bien excepto en pleno centro histórico), sino también todos sus alrededores. Como siempre, no dudéis en consultarme cualquier detalle antes o durante vuestra estancia; siempre estoy a total disposición de mis huéspedes para ayudaros a preparar un planning, rutas, aconsejaros sobre el transporte local, el metro o el alquiler de bicicletas. Gute Umgebung

Man ist einfach in der Stadt und sehr schnell am Strand. Der nächste Strand ist nicht Übergang von Touristen, das war sehr angenehm. Mit der naheliegenden Metro kann man sehr simpel (ohne Umsteigen) und billig in die Innenstadt fahren, allerdings dauert das circa 25 Minuten. Die Unterkunft selber ist ganz okay, nur der „außenbereich“ ist jedoch nicht gemütlich, da dort 3 Lüftungen für Klimaanlagen hängen. Die Hitze kann durch eine verhältnismäßig kleine Öffnung nach oben nicht entweichen.

Excellent séjour

La maison est très belle, spacieuse et située dans un quartier calme à deux pas (métro) du centre de Valence. Charo a été parfaite dans son accueil et des conseils. La visite guidée de cette maison historique était un plus ! Je recommande vivement l'endroit.

Idyllisches Schmuckstück

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt in Alboraya. Die Wohnung ist liebevoll eingerichtet, liegt zentral und die Vermieterin Charo ist sehr empathisch und hilfsbereit. Wir waren zu viert (2 Paare) in der Wohnung...einfach schön dort!

Charmante maison à Alboraya

Nous avons loué cette maison en famille (2 parents et 2 enfants) pour une semaine et avons bien profité de notre séjour pour visiter Valence et apprécier la plage. La plage est à 2,4 km mais on ne peut pas y aller à pieds car la route n'est pas très pratique (c'est toutefois possible en running). Il est possible d'y aller en bus ou bien en voiture. Il y a un parking proche de la maison mais nous ne l'avons jamais utilisé car on a toujours trouvé de la place dans la rue. Le métro est très proche et aller dans le centre historique de Valence est facile. Pour les autres quartiers, nous utilisions la voiture. La maison est située à Alboraya, petite ville calme dans le nord de Valence où l'on trouve de nombreuses "Horchateria" (nombreuses plantations de chuta / souchet à Alboraya). Les nombreuses photos de l'annonce sont fidèles à la réalité : la maison est en bon état, bien propre, bien équipée et bien rénovée. Il y a 3 climatiseurs pour la pièce principale et les deux chambres. Le seul bémol est que l'intérieur de la maison est un peu sombre. Charo est très gentille et prend bien soin de ses hôtes. Elle a de très nombreux conseils et recommandations à faire à ses hôtes. Nous avons bien apprécié le séjour.

Beautiful traditional Valencian house close to all facilities

For anyone wanting to emerse themselves into the local culture this house is perfect. Beautifully kept & host Charo is lovely & full of advice & help. Close to all Valencia's attractions & beach. Only 15mins from airport. Roads are busy, but we managed easily with Google maps on our phone. Phrase book in hand we coped with the language as this house is not in the tourist area, but we loved it. Parking was only 1min walk from the house & easy to get to & cheap, approx €3 for 24hrs. Although bus & metro close by if you don't want to drive.
