Loved it!
We enjoyed our stay in Maggie Valley! The house was clean and welcoming. The only thing I missed was our Sleep Number (Select Comfort) bed at home. The view was great to enjoy the fall colors. The wifi, dish and cell service worked well. We would definitely stay here again.

Very Clean. Comfy Beds. Everything as represented. Convenient to NE GSMNP. Avoids Gatlinburg.
Pros: Very Clean, comfy beds, no surprises. Convenient to NE GSMNP, Cataloochee, 441 at Cherokee, and not too far from Pisgah. Newer appliances. Plenty of pots, pans, and kitchen convenience items (needs a few wide, nylon spatulas though). Happy with stocked pantry items. Ingles grocery store is 10 minutes away. Overall, we were very pleased with the function -- everything worked. Tip: if the microwave and wifi stop working at the same time, reset the plug strip on top of the microwave! Nice quiet neighborhood. Cons: Aesthetics are lacking. This is a 1970s vintage home with 1970s finishes except for the kitchen appliances and island countertops (which is granite). It is a normal 1970s home, not a log cabin or other retreat style cabin. Maggie Valley is NOT a destination worth visiting or staying in on its own because of all the junky, touristy places that line the main road thru it. Other than sleeping, eating Mexican or BBQ, nothing else worth stopping at in Maggie Valley. Too many old motels, T-shirt shops, bad restaurants, long since closed businesses, etc. Take all of this junk out that mucks up nature and its a beautiful place. You would stay in Maggie Valley because it's midway between other points of interest such as GSMNP, Pisgah, Cherokee National Park, Asheville, etc. This was a last minute booking for us with few other options available on VRBO. We wanted a cabin in the woods and we knew this was not going to be that. The all-in price of almost $200/night is too high given the unattractiveness of Maggie Valley and the dated aesthetics of this home. But, from a functional and cleanliness standpoint, and if the convenience of its location works for you, I would otherwise recommend it.

Relax and Enjoy
The cabin was great for looking out over the valley at the surrounding mountains. The inside of the cabin with the layout was perfect for us with an adult child staying in her own area as far as sleeping. We enjoyed the view and the amount of wildlife at the moring and evening hours was perfect. We saw rabbits. turkey and either a beaver or a muskrat. The cabin was very clean and inviting when you walked in. I would stay there again when I come back to the valley. Thanks for a relaxing time while on vacation. Thanks Ken

Beautiful views, clean, and comfortable.
We very much enjoyed our stay. The views were amazing and the house had everything we needed. It was great to come back to a quiet area like Maggie Valley after exploring the mountains.
