Ultimate Beach Getaway in Beautiful Home with heated pool option!

This isn't your average looking beach house. We are looking for renters who treat vacation homes like their own!

Come to the beach to have ultimate relaxation in our wonderful island getaway. This beautifully maintained and decorated house is how coastal vacations should be! We are located just a SHORT walk to the Beach, Ocean Crest Pier and many island amenities.

Our home features 3 Queen Beds, 1 King bed, a huge living room and open kitchen area, and 2 large bathrooms. Wi-Fi enabled for your enjoyment, DirecTV with many movies DVR'd for any age. 3 bedrooms features large Flat screen TV's, colorful bed linens and ceiling fans. Additional queen size blow up bed is great for kids.

From our home you can enjoy the sunrise and sunset. It is also fun to take the short 15 minute drive into Southport where there are many things to do like go shopping, eat on the water at great places like Provisions, go biking, crabbing or just take a walk on the waterfront.

Day trips to coastal locations like Bald Head Island, Fort Fisher to the NC Aquarium, Wilmington or Myrtle Beach where there are endless possibilities for fun. Oak Island is a laid back family beach where you can truly relax, but when you want more excitement it can be found a short distance away.

NOTICE FOR 2024!
After much discussion and town council fighting, the town has implemented paid parking at the beach going into effect April 1st. I'm not sure how well it is going to work or be monitored but wanted to make everyone aware. More info here https://www.oakislandnc.gov/residents-visitors/parking-information

The house was great, location perfect, hosts great! Having the pool heated option was a life saver on the chilly mornings! The road is low usage in Sept so our 4 year old grandson was able to ride his bike with super vision, with very few cars. The beach is a brief 2 block walk away. Our family had a great time together!

Fun in Oak Island

Great host!! House was very comfortable and well equipped. Easy access to the beach, great area for bicycling as well. The whole process was perfect from check-in to check-out. We will definitely be back again.

Great place to stay

This is the second year in a row that we stayed here and we love it!!! It's close to the beach, has a nice pool with plenty of space for sunbathing, and is conveniently located to local restaurants and grocery stores. The owner is very accomodating and quick to answer questions, We will defintiley rent here again.

Perfection!

This home is exceptional in all ways. It was the perfect spot for our family to spend a week together at the beach. The bedrooms are a nice size, the common space is open and provided room for adults, a toddler and a one year old to enjoy each other. The kitchen had everything (and then some) we needed to cook in. The pool gave us a beach alternative. The house was very clean and well maintained. We have rented from VRBO many times; this house stands out! We already are planning to return to this property!

By the beach

The house is in a great location, short walk to the beach! The neighborhood is nice and quiet as well. The pool and the yard are a big plus for when you return from the beach and want to relax.

Great property! Nice quiet neighborhood with just a short walk to the beach. We loved swimming in the pooI. I enjoyed drinking coffee each morning on the screened-in porch. The beds were very comfortable. Unfortunately there was an issue with the refrigerator making it unusable during our stay, but the owner responded immediately to the situation. They were fantastic and worked so hard to try to remedy the problem. They had a mini fridge delivered quickly so we were able to keep a small amount of groceries in it during the week which was a life saver. I am so grateful for how responsive and helpful the owner was. We enjoyed our vacation here. I recommend this property.

House location was perfect. Communication was easy. Was very disappointed in the cleanliness of the place. Windows, fans and common was very dusty. There was personal items left from previous people under the beds. Lastly, we were provided with 2 rolls of toilet paper total for 1 week with 8 people and there was no hand soap in the kitchen (bottle was empty).

Perfect location

We love staying on the marsh side of Long Beach. This rental was perfect - walking distance to the beach and 5 minute drive to Publix. Great neighborhood - very quiet & good cycling. Home was very clean and well appointed with comfortable beds in all 4 bedrooms. The bedroom / bathroom layout was perfect to provide privacy for two couples. The outdoor area is spacious with heated pool and gas grill, with lots of seating areas for eating, and sunning. Enjoyed the screened porch for El fresco dining. Hosts were easy to communicate with throughout our stay.

Family Vacation

House was great. The kids absolutely loved the pool. Having to put the sheets on the bed was a surprise and not well documented. I would suggest a new coffee pot with a shut off timer. One of the doors to the screen porch doesn’t latch in place without using the deadbolt. Not having propane in the grill tank was a bit aggravating. Otherwise it was a great vacation experience.

Always Great!

This is our second time staying and it was just as great as the first! The property is always clean and well kept. The owner is very receptive and responds quickly. Neighborhood is quiet and within walking distance to the beach! The pool is awesome! Definitely one of our favorite places to stay!

A family living their dreams in Charlotte, NC and grew up going to Oak Island. Now we get to share an amazing home with our 5 and 2 year old daughters. Owning a place at the beach has always been a dream of ours. We are blessed to have the opportunity to share our home with you and hope you will treat it like your own and stay with us often. As the name gives it away, we are fans of both NC State and UNC Wilmington.

Why they chose this property

Being familiar with Oak Island, we loved the location, proximity to the beach, pier, crabbing, a great bridge over the sound and anything else you need. There is no better beach that has the mix of quiet, family friendly beaches and access to great restaurants and shopping.

What makes this property unique

The house feels brand new from the moment you walk in... not your average beach house at all. Beautiful hardwoods, bathrooms, and detail the house has will make you want to call it your own. Under the house is a great lounge area where we spend most of our time with seating, a swing, a nice breeze blowing through and a nice back yard for corn hole, ladder ball, or any fun games you want to play. The coastal breeze makes everything better.
