A bohemiam 3-bedroom apartment in the heart of Lisbon with hardwood floors and a VINTAGE DECORATION that includes classic furnishings and fine paintings. A balcony on the first floor apartment provides scenic views of the neighborhood. The first and second bedroom have their own king-size beds and individual bathrooms. The bed in the second bedroom can be split into two single beds. The third bedroom has a queen size bed. The living room is decorated with exotic paintings and includes a sofa bed that increases the capacity of the apartment to up to 7 people. There is also a fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances. There is an nespresso machine and a tea maker. The courtyard provides lots of light and a quiet space from the hustle and bustle of the city life. WIFI, CABLE TV included. Located in Bairro Alto, the SOHO of Lisbon welcomes you to a variety of theaters, fado houses and shops as well as some of the best restaurants and bars in the city. Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful apartment in Lisbon! The apartment was spotless, stylish, and very comfortable — exactly as pictured. The location was perfect, set in a lovely neighborhood that felt both lively and authentic, with great cafes, restaurants, and easy access to public transport. Communication with the host was excellent from start to finish — always prompt, helpful, and friendly. We’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Lisbon!

Cute vintage apartment in the heart of the city with everything you need within walking distance. Plenty of space in the apartment with only 15 steps to enter - which was a rarity throughout all of the listings we found. Communication with the host was easy and smooth. If driving beware that this is on a restricted street and you cannot get onto the street without a pass! This made loading and unloading the car very difficult. This could easily be corrected if a pass could be provided to grant access to the street. Thank you!

We loved the location of this delightful apartment. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. It was just as described. It is an older apartment so the best recommendation I have is to be gentle. Be gentle with the doors and the plumbing including the shower. Be gentle with the windows and handles. When in doubt-give it a jiggle! It will work in the end. The only reason I lowered the rating is that especially the bathrooms are aging and it’s tough to adjust the temperature and flow. All accurate in the listing!

Great location and size for a large party traveling - 6 adults and 1 toddler. Rooms were a good size and we all fit comfortably - we never felt as if we were on top of each other. Will def stay again with a large party traveling to Lisbon.

Had a great 4 night stay. The apartment is in a perfect location for sightseeing and so close to restaurants and bars. Easy communication with the host. A little bit of maintenance is required to the property though nothing that impacted our stay.

Great property in a fantastic location needing a liyyle TLC

Really enjoyed the property. Location was ideal and convenient for what we wanted to do. Property itself needs some TLC - dispenser on dishwasher is broken; coffee machine very old and only works 1 in 4 times; outside area stank of bird dumpings etc we had to clean; crockery chipped (owner did provide extra mugs and spoons) but other then that the property met what we needed.

Dear William, thank you for your review. We have changed the coffee machine for a new one, some cuttlery and currently looking to change the washing machine. We normally clean the terrace once a week because of the birds and have installed wire to prevent birds from using the terrace. So all this should be solved on your next trip! thanks!

Home Away From Home

Well equipped and spotlessly clean apartment. Ideally located for public transportation (the famous tram # 28 is only 50 meters away) restaurants and entertainment and of course shopping. The beds are so comfortable. Good value for your money. The owner provided excellent customer service. The apartment was truly a home away from home. Thanks a million Henrique !

We arrived on Sept. 10th and spent an amazing week in Lisbon. Henrique's apartment was perfect for the 4 of us. It was clean and spacious. Wonderful to have 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Large rooms and comfortable furnishings, we enjoyed the Bairro Alto neighborhood. Many restaurants and fun shopping in the area which is filled with young adults - we enjoyed viewing the fun night life from our balconies. In the heart of Barrio Alto

The apartment was large and comfortable, more than enough room for the four of us. The layout was "unusual" (some winding hallways between rooms), but that's part of the charm, as is the nice outdoor courtyard accessible from the kitchen and one of the bedrooms. The best part is the location in the heart of the Barrio Alto neighborhood, surrounded by lots of lively restaurants and bars, and an easy walk to many of the city's other attractions. Despite the location the bedrooms were quiet at night as they did not open on to the street. All in all I would be happy to stay here again on a future trip to Lisbon.

Fire hazard. Cannot get out of the apt if electronic lock fails. Took 5-10 minutes on last night to get the door to open. Successful opening is a completely random event. See picture.Front door handle missing set screw. As a result, it falls off when opening the door. Master shower handle missing set screw. As such, it falls off when trying to take a shower. Only one key to enter street door. This presented a problem for the 4 parties in our group.Apt. does not look anything like the photo, clearly staged for listing but then cheaper furniture etc. installed.No A/C. Apt. gets a tad warm even in September, can't imagine what it would be like in Summer months.Interesting neighborhood, somewhat Bohemian but fun if you are comfortable with same. A bit loud at night as there are thousands of party goers that do no leave until the 2 am closing time of the numerous bars etc.In summary, several easily fixed problems indicative of lack of attention by owner, not what we expected , OK for what it is but overpriced.
With luck, door will open when you press the white knob but it was unreliable. Note the care taken in scribbling the instructions!

Wonderful stay in a cozy Lisbon Apartment

Henriques place was perfect for our group of 6. As mentioned before the apt is a bit funky how its laid out but great for privacy because each room is separated from one another. Also we loved the Living Room to gather before we hit the city. The apt is bright and comfortable. We didnt use the Kitchen to cook but did use the washing machine and the espresso maker. The apt is located close to restaurants, bars, metro, shopping and the waterfront. Henrique was easy to contact for questions and also provided us with a restaurant suggestions and a quide. Hard to leave after 5 days there because it felt like home

Plenty of room for 5 adults, terrific location!

Barrio Alto apartment was close to everything we needed during our stay. We found many great restaurants right outside our door, shopping mall and boutiques close by as well. Henrique answers all emails promptly and is most helpful. He was a real pleasure to meet. We had a problem with a shower upon arrival and he had it repaired within a few hours of us letting him know. The apt. has a quirky layout, as some smaller units have been put together, very spacious, especially for Europe. Only negative, the furniture in the lounge area is stained and worn, the dining chairs as well. Really need to be replaced to be brought back to a 5 star rental. Would definitely stay here again if the lounge was updated.

Terrific location, bright and spacious

We stayed in Lisbon over the Easter weekend. The apartment is exceptionally well located, with any number of restaurants, shops and transportation all very close at hand. The apartment is so spacious, comfortable and very well-appointed. With all the windows, it is bright and airy. The showers in both bathrooms worked well, plenty of hot water. The three windows in the living room face a very busy street, but as others have mentioned, the bedrooms are located at the back, so the noise was not an issue, even with the bedroom windows open. It was very quiet, and the beds are really comfortable. Kitchen has everything you need, WiFi worked great, we had all the comforts of home. A suggestion: a full-length mirror in one or both bedrooms would be handy. And, as we are from Canada, where the winter is long, we were very much looking forward to sitting outside on the terrace so a table and chairs would have been most welcome. It was a pleasure to meet Henrique, who was most accomodating and helpful throughout our entire stay, responding immediately to any question we had! Thank you, Henrique!

Great location, great apartment

My husband and I, along with a long-time girlfriend of mine (can women who are 60 still have "girlfriends?"), stayed in this great apartment for eight nights. As so many others have commented, it is in such a wonderful location that you find that many, many people are coming to this area to sightsee, as well as to visit bars and restaurants in the evening - it's only one street off a street with numerous recommended Fado restaurants and bars. And, as has been pointed out, the street noise is no problem to sleeping as the bedrooms are located in the back and there are heavy-duly windows and "doors" to close off the street windows. If you are lucky, you will be there one night when the lady across the way who is a costume maker shares her colorful hats (through her window) with the tourists who love the photo op that it provides. She also has a very sweet cat who often sits in the window and has her own share of custom hats which she will model for you. Enrique arranged to have the keys left with Antonio, who runs a great wine/liquor shop downstairs. When we met him the next day, we noted we were low on paper towels and TP and he had them there for us within the hour. He is wonderfully responsive and provides excellent customer service. You could not ask for a better host. The apartment is huge - even bigger than it looks in the pictures. Everything was very clean and in good working order. Guests from the US will probably find the washer/dryer a bit of a challenge, but Henrique is able to provide a laundry service that is great - they pick it up at the apartment and deliver it back within 1 or 2 days. Tons of good restaurants are within easy walking distance as is the Barrio Alto-Chiado subway station. We took an excellent tour to Sintra through Viator tours and we also had a tour by Ricardo who works with Genuine Tours that we all loved. He is a great resource for learning about all of Portugal and can arrange customized tours throughout the country. Can you tell that all three of us absolutely loved this trip and the apartment? If you book it, it will not be disappointed, and you will probably fall in love with Portugal and her wonderful people. Very friendly and all of the young people speak English as they are required to study it five years in school - just don't expect the taxi drivers to speak English!

Good location in Bairro-Alto but noisy every single night. Thank heaven bedrooms are far enough back. Definitely vintage and in need of TLC! (see pics) The kitchen wall was 'weeping' with condensation creating a small puddle on the floor. No AC, only fans. Dryer does not dry. We caught 2 days of rain and it rained through a light fixture in the apartment! Called Henri but he never even stopped by to check. No one wants to mop floors on vacation.

Perfect location

For 6 adults and one infant (8 months) this place was ideal. The living area was big enough to accommodate all of us and with the 3 big doors opening up out the street below it made it really bright and airy. But the real attraction here is the location, it is literally in the heart of all the action, walking distance to all main attractions. Nice little wine bar right underneath the appartement, great selection of wines and light tapas style food selections.
