A warm, comfortable, and clean property in a good location with parking.
A warm, comfortable, and clean property in a good location with parking. The downsides were - on a cold arrival lets spend a couple of hours working out how the heating works - the tubular bells from the marina rigging as the Esk ebbed and flowed - and the flock of ducks pecking at the patio doors for food soon lose their charm. The upsides certainly beat the downsides - worthy of a visit.

This is our 5th stay in this property on the East side and the draw is it is like a second home, ideally placed a 5 minute walk into Whitby cobbled street centre, on site parking is a bonus for a property in this area. The small courtyard garden over looks the ever changing harbour picture. There are signs of wear, but a lot has been upgraded. We went during Covid and the attention to cleaniness put us at our ease, we felt the owner / cleaners had done their best. The price is very good for what it has to offer and the location. Thought for possible holiday makers are that it is railings around rear courtyard with a gap that smaller children may be tempted to look through to the boats moored there, but that is a small thing, for us as grandson is of an age to understand the issue. Previous years we have tied up a windbreak when younger. If you go once this is the place to use.

Great location and within walking distance of town.
Great location and within walking distance of town. Downside is in this day and age there's no WiFi and big let down is the fact there are so few TV channels. Given the price being paid over the year by customers a low end sky package or equivalent would be useful especially if the weather is poor. Otherwise a comfortable wee cottage.

Comfortable, clean Riverside cottage well equipped for our week's holiday?
Very nice neighbours in attached cottage next door.
Short stroll to town with a few hostelries en route.
Nice patio to sit and relax and watch life on the river and Steam Trains .
Would certainly book a cottage in Abraham's Wharf again.

We have stayed in Whitby quite a few times and this has got to be our favourite holiday rental. Wouldn't recommend if you have young children as the patio back has railings that children could easily get through the then they would be down in the sea with the boats. But the view is out of this world.

3rd time stayed here.
3rd time stayed here...always a big part of the holiday, feels like home from home. Very good base 5 minute walk into town, and free parking next to home. Ever changing view of Whitby as right on Harbour, with views to steam trains on other side.
Ideal base for other local attractions as well and there is always something happening in Whitby to boost a stay. Furniture is comfy, Kitchen and Living room are airy and open plan, even with 4 adults in our party you are not on top of each other. Main Bedroom fine as only sleep in it, the bed is snug for a 6 foot person, and width is ok, (spoilt at home with extra wide). Toilet and shower are very clean. If I could buy it I would that speaks volumes for the place, Whitby is a second home and this property has been the reason why we use it again if available.

Very comfortable cottage within easy walking distance of town.
Very comfortable cottage within easy walking distance of town. Lovely riverside patio. Wi-fi would be a great addition. We have a large car and the parking was difficult. All the bollards on the development made manoeuvring difficult and the space was quite tight.

We return to this cottage every time we visit Whitby.
We return to this cottage every time we visit Whitby. It has the most fantastic view from the patio doors. It is well-equipped and comfortable. Our only criticism is that it doesn’t have WiFi.
There are many excellent places to eat in Whitby and lots of places to visit and walk.
