Lovely cosy cottage.

Lovely cosy cottage. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. We loved the wildlife and the spectacular views. So peaceful and a very short drive to Barnard castle. If I'm to be picky I would say a heater would be a good idea in the conservatory for colder months. The cottage itself was really warm. I can honestly say there is nothing to complain about. We enjoyed every minute. Thank you.

Spent a lovely week at Ashlea Country Cottage, Ann, the owner was so nice and helpful, made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. This is a lovely cosy cottage set in beautiful peaceful surroundings. We even got real thick snow which was an added bonus, great to watch surrounding wildlife and had visits from sheep. The wood burner was a real hit, made the cottage feel homely and warm, great place to explore from and the fresh warm bread on arrival was an absolute bonus. We will be back thank you so much for the excellent hospitality. Would highly recommend.

Comfortable home from home

We had a lovely weekend at Ashlea. The cottage is well equiped & feels like a real home - very peaceful, great views & easy reach if Barnard Castle. Great walks from the doorstep. We were made so welcome by Ann, (loved the fresh baked bread & flowers). We will stay here again.

We had a fabulous holiday over the Christmas period at Ashlea. Both Anne and Graham were extremely hospitable with some very generous gifts in our arrival. Our whole cottage was decorated for Christmas which my little girls loved. We would definintley return.
