Heart of Playa

Great place right on the beach. Not fancy but comfortable and fully equipped, which is exactly what a beach place should be. Noemi was extremely helpful when I had trouble following basic instructions about check-in. Would definitely stay here again.

PERFECT location

The space is ideal for someone wanting to be steps from the beach and steps from the main strip (5th Street) since it was tucked 1/2 between both. It was clean and we were provided with plenty of beach towels and bath towels; however, I was shocked to find out that wash rags for bathing were not provided (so be sure to pack some for your stay here!)

Perfect location

This place was perfectly located. You are literally seconds from 5th avenue (the main strip) and seconds from the beach. If you plan on doing excursions, we were able to be picked up only a block and a half away. Nice place. The water pressure was decent for the most part, but dropped a little when showering during the afternoon (gotta rinse off after playing in the ocean). All in all, great place!

Perfection!!!!

The condo looked exactly like what was pictured in the listing. The host was fantastic to work with very responsive !! Even checked in on us when we first arrived to make sure all was good. The property manager was wonderful also . She also checked in on us to make sure we were good .. on Sunday her day off!!!She followed thru on everything I needed from her. The location is PERFECT!!! 4 car lengths to the beach and half a block to fifth avenue where many restaurants , bars and shops are. Would definitely rent this condo again !

Location, and attentiveness 5 stars!

My kids (ages 5 & 8) enjoyed a fabulous vacation in Playa and the location of this apartment is prime. I gave the location 4/5 stars, only because there are beach clubs within 45 feet that play loud music late into the night/early morning. Most days I was so tired from exploring the beautiful beaches, shops, and taking the ferry to Cozumel to even wake up to it, and luckily my kids slept right through it, but I would advise bringing some ear plugs. I always travel with sound machines, and the music booming could be heard over those - so I wished I had ear plugs. Otherwise, the place is exactly as pictured, it’s safe with multiple locks, the property manager Gladys was incredible. She met us at arrival and gave us a tour, was immediately accessible when an issue with the air conditioner came up (and got the handyman there within 20 mins), and helped us book the BEST tours. Me and the kids had the time of our lives in Playa. Highly recommend.

Was charged for broken rail I didn’t break on a common stairway to three different units. The door handle fell of , and I was charged for locksmith. Was asked to communicate off app. Horrible check in! Asked 4 people were it was on the short block , no one had a clue. Building name written in faded white pen on a door lock block by a cactus. The lock that was changed was put on back words and required key to close it. You could open it with out , just like bedroom lock. Required a handful of keys for entry and a pointless one to exit, no trash bags , don’t stay 10 days. And expect to throw away toilet paper that builds up for two people . Without going and purchasing several size trash bags. The 104 extra charge for the broken rail I wish I took pictures when I notice it. Vrbo sucks with directions for check in. Waiting again on a location after being given wrong ones were people at gate tell you your in wrong place after following app. Multiple can rides and lugging luggage around pointlessly is vrbo way

Amazing location!!

We really enjoyed our stay. The condo was very clean and in a fantastic location!! We did have a really hard time with the check-in process. The check-in instructions indicated to look for the "Condo Zaci" building however there were no markings or numbers on the building whatsoever. We had to ask nearby business people and nobody heard of it so we had to fumble our way to find proper building. The lockbox holding the keys was suppose to be marked "Stella" however there were no markings on the correct lockbox. Once inside the condo, there was a safe in each bedroom. One was full of rust and had no key to unlock, the other was push button however the code to unlock was not included in the check-in instructions. The listing for this condo indicated that there was an outdoor BBQ. After check in we were told there was no BBQ available at this property. We also found that the kitchen was understocked (1 dish cloth, 1 tea towel, dull knives, 1 frying pan, no large bowls, no amenities whatsoever including coffee filters!?!). These things can easily be rectified and it would make a huge difference for someone's stay. The few issues we did have, the representative from Stella Rentals (Angel) was very quick to respond and at the end of our stay, offered a late check out without charge which was really appreciated!!We would definitely stay at this condo again and highly recommend it for those looking for an enjoyable vacation.Wendi & Brian G.Canada

Reviews and listing is accurate

Noise: The listing does mention there will be noise due to location and many reviews mentioned the club next door. I was expecting noise when booked and was pleasantly surprised it wasn’t that bad. Queen bed room is the noisiest and the double bed room is more quiet. I was able to sleep easily in the double bed room and white noise played on my phone helped me sleep in the queen room. Location: Perfect for beach access and right off of fifth ave. The ferry is super close as is the ADO bus station. Loved the location. Water: The water shut off several times during our stay. We were unable to use the toilet or shower during these times which is inconvenient when covered in sand/sunblock. I messaged the concierge but didn’t get much help or explanation from her as to why the water was shut off. We did stay during a tropical storm but no other spots had water issues in the area. Shower: Low water pressure and it takes a long time to warm up so either be patient or be ready for cold showers. Neighbor: There is a man that lives next door. He constantly moaned, coughed, and called out for help at all hours of the day/night. It is loud and woke us up several times when staying in the queen bedroom (closest to his unit). On the first night we approached him asking if he needed help in which he replied no and tried to enter our unit. He seems harmless but be wary. We were a group of girls and felt mostly safe other than that initial interaction.

Great Beach Spot!

This was perfect for what we wanted, a place on the beach! Steps from the beach, and close to all the shops and restaurants. It's not fancy but met our needs nicely. There are several beach clubs close by and they do play loud music late into the night, so if that will bother you it may not be the best choice but for us it turned into white noise pretty quickly.

Best location in playa del Carmon.

People at the property were friendly and helpful. Only suggestion you need a parking permit. Got a parking ticket parked in front of the condo. Don’t get a parking ticket!! Loved the place with or with out a parking permit.
