Thanks for nice review! You captured why it is unique property. It is a great place to watch whales/dolphins in winter; that's also when surf is high to watch surfers and boarders. But, surfing is year round; there is an annual pro surf contest at this site, I believe in fall months if you want to watch pros.

We have stayed at Kona Reef many times, this is by far one of the best views! The room is clean and updated. Would definitely book this room again!

Everything at the condo was in excellent condition and the arrival instructions were easy to follow. The location is perfect for sunset views and easy walks to Kona restaurants and shops.

The view off the lanai was priceless. Nice to have morning coffee and be entertained by a pod of dolphins as well as a whale or two.

Perfect condo for 2 people. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner on the lanai watching waves crashing on the rocks. Great location within walking distance of restaurants and shops. Condo is clean and comfortable.

We loved that we were walking distance into town, and also that it was a perfect location for the Ironman World Championships.The condo is right on the ocean, so we enjoyed watching the boogey boarders and surfers on most days, as well as beautiful sunsets.The condo was clean, and we appreciated the management contacts throughout. I would definitely stay here again.

Ocean side

Being right on the ocean was beautiful. You could not ask for a better ocean side location. Walking distance to downtown and all the shops. Enjoyed our stay immensely.

Location, Location, Location!

This place is in an excellent location, close to many restaurants, all within walking distance. Great home base for exploring the island. The resort is quiet with a nice pool and the view is spectacular. The place had everything we needed for our stay. Would definitely recommend.

Kona Paradise

Wonderful location and even better view! We saw whales, Tang ,Manta, and even a turtle from the balcony, I would go back without any reservations!

A34 Kona Reef

Very clean, fantastic setting and view. Bathroom and bedroom a little on the small side but doable for two people. We would stay here again!

Thank you for your accurate review. I believe in objective and accurate information so prospective guests can make optimal decisions. To me the only disadvantage with A34 is what you noted; namely small bathroom and bedroom. Kona Reef units are small. In remodel, we opened up kitchen and living area by removing a few structural components. I am happy with that. Can't do that with bathroom or bedroom. For the latter, I struggled with Queen vs CalKing bed. Queen would take less room and make room seem larger, but guests per my research prefer a big CalKing, so we went with big bed and a large flat screen TV, even though it makes the room tight. Thanks again for your accurate review.

Fabulous view and location!

Beautiful unobstructed view of the ocean and fun to watch the boogie boarders from the lanai. Very clean and tidy. The owners were super. We were there for the 4th of July and had a fantastic spot to watch the fireworks on the lawn just below. Also conveniently close to Royal Kona Tennis Courts and town. A nice relaxing stay…thanks!

Birthday surprise

Our stay was absolutely fantastic! Besides being warm and relaxing we were also very happy to see whales on a daily basis from our oceanfront balcony! A five star stay!!!

Waves crashing in Kona

Easy walk to shops & restaurants Amazing view, we sat and watched people surfing every afternoon! The sound of the waves hitting the shore is the best!
