Great space for bigger families and convenient location. Huge yard that was very secure for the dog. I brought along my elderly mother at last minute who had difficulty with the stairs, so my only advice would be that if you have anyone with mobility issues the main living spaces are up stairs. Otherwise great place I would stay here again.

Excellent communication and the house was fantastically kitted out with virtually everything you need. Clear and easy-to-follow instructions for check-in/out and use of amenities.Plenty of beds (including bunk beds). Unfortunately, the mattresses were springy to sit on, but hard as rock to lie on and didn't contour or bend when lying on them, so none of us slept very well, unfortunately. Great location not far from everything. Quiet area.

Hi, Graeme. I’m glad you found the house well kitted out, with everything you need. We try and provide everything that we would use when staying anywhere. We probably over supply on blankets and kitchen utensils! The photo instructions that we send do make check in easy. Not sure how a mattress can be springy to sit on but hard to lay on! The mattresses are relatively new and each has a mattress protector. None of our other guests has ever mentioned this. Everyone, l suppose, has their own taste. Some people like a really soft mattress, others like it firmer to give extra support, especially for backs etc.

Nice for a winter getaway

We had a lovely stay. Good value for money. House had everything needed for a weekend away. We did have 2 infants and struggled with the light in the bedrooms as not all windows had blinds or functional blinds. Although there was ample heating, we were disappointed that the coonara heater could not be used as it would have added to the ambience of our getaway. I believe this should be stated in the description since a photo of the heater is present on the ad.

Fun weekend away

Nice cozy place with lots of parking space and within close proximity to all the attractions. We had a group of ten adults and everyone enjoyed the place. Only suggestions would be a smart TV that has Netflix/Youtube. Also from the ad we were under the impression that there were 4 bathrooms consisting of 2 showers and 4 toilets in total. However there was only 2 showers and 2 toilets inside, unless we missed something. Check-in instructions and communication were great.

A pleasant stay with room for improvement.

We enjoyed our stay at Sunset Strip. The house was mostly clean and comfortable. It’s a 10 min walk or short drive to Smiths Beach. Our dog was content, and secure in the large yard as needed. The large deck adds to the living space upstairs. Wi-fi appreciated by our family. The outdoor rinsing shower and deck downstairs were handy to de-sand and shake out our gear. Mike was available to communicate any needs via text ( and I assume voice call if needed ). Unfortunately the aircon was not working upon our arrival. Opening the doors upstairs for cross ventilation goes part way to reduce the heat, but I suggest checking the status of the replacement unit. A few other things we noted: The windows (and blinds) needed cleaning - at least having clean windows from the living area and master bedroom would have made a difference. The dishwasher is such that the dishes need to be rinsed very clean going into the washer, for them to come out clean. The three smaller windows in the master bedroom do not have blinds, making it very bright in the morning if you are not used to this and hoped to sleep in. Attending to these improvements would lift the property to what we would expect at this price point.

Thanks for the feedback, Ruth, and l am glad you enjoyed the large decking, free WiFii and the outdoor shower. It is unfortunate that things like the Split System break down during summer! The Split System has now been replaced with a new one.
