Beautiful, fully equipped cottage in rural setting of Madaket. Lots of privacy with trees, an enclosed back yard and lots of flowers throughout the season. Relax on the deck while listening to the roar of the ocean from nearby Madaket Beach :)

Dark night skies with views of the heavens, unimpeded by city lights, are a Nantucket blessing! Spectacular sunsets are another sustaining treasure.

Madaket Harbor and Hither Creek provide the view across the street where the land bank encourages access. You may even want to launch your kayak there. Or just sit and watch the sunset:)

Walk or bike to Madaket Beach, with fantastic surf and ocean views, less than a mile from home.
Millie's Restaurant, a favorite spot for islanders, is just a stone's throw from Madaket Beach.
Many other beaches dot Nantucket's perimeter, each offering a special quality all their own!

A bike path and bus stop ( Nantucket Rapid Transit...the Wave) are just a block away allowing travel all over the island.
There are miles and miles of well maintained bike paths and walking trails for a naturalist's delight!
We have bikes which you may use at your own risk (please bring helmets).
Beach chairs and a beach umbrella are also available.

For those who like to shop, downtown Nantucket is a mecca of delights with many grand shops and wonderful restaurants!
History comes alive with cobblestone streets, historic buildings, museums and much more.

This property was perfect for us in many ways. We were four adults and the bedroom/bathroom layouts are separated by the main living areas allowing for privacy and quiet at night if desired. The property is clean and well organized making it both very functional and enjoyable during our stay.

Holiday getaway

8 M was absolutely perfect. Lots of space, plenty of sleeping arrangements for a large party, an outdoor shower which was great after the beach, and plenty of everyday essentials within.Close proximity to the free island transportation which was fantastic. Millies on Madaket was a stones throw away which is perfect for drinks, food, and right on the beach.The house location offered up probably one of the most picturesque sunsets you'll ever see. 8 M was the whole perfect package.

Perfect for a Weekend Getaway

We absolutely loved our stay at Cynthia’s home. It was perfect for our group of 5 for a long weekend. It was in a great location, close to Madaket beach and Millie’s. Cynthia provided everything we needed for a beach day including towels, chairs and a cooler. We will definitely book again next summer!

Long weekend getaway

Quiet neighborhood-home has a warm, comforting vibe with all you need, clean! Our 1st visit to Nantucket. Madaket is romantic- rent a car and beach hop the Island is beautiful. Visited end of Sept into Oct. Cynthia and Elwood are amazing hosts!

Perfect long weekend in Madaket!

Cynthia's home is beautiful, comfortable and perfectly suited our family needs. The kids loved running around in the enclosed back yard, and we had some nice walks along quiet roads leading to the ocean. Also, Madaket beach, with its surf and soft sand was nearby, another plus. Cynthia was very helpful and responsive, and we very much hope to return to this lovely house.

Amazing location with a beautiful view

We absolutely loved our time at Cyn and El’s property. The location is so beautiful, the house was clean and well stocked, the beds were comfortable. I can’t say enough wonderful things about the owners. They are so thoughtful, responsive and kind. They really went above and beyond for us and we’re so grateful!

The perfect trip!!

Cynthia was so responsive and helpful from the time we booked 5 months before our trip until the time we checked out. The place is adorable and cozy, the back patio perfect for morning coffee and evening cocktails. Plenty of space for everyone and a kitchen that was beyond equipped! Very easy access to bus and a short walk to millies and the beach..dont think we had one thing wrong or that we would've changed! We had adults, a teenager and a toddler. Room for all and activities too! The bikes were a blast and the outdoor shower was so cool but too cold out for us to use. 10/10 recommend!

Don’t overlook this GEM in Madaket on Nantucket

A quaint and roomy cottage feel with great lay out/floor plan and all modern amenities inside and out. Every possible need/want anticipated and supplied. Ever so comfortable and an escape to a quiet neighborhood. Lovely plantings outdoors complete the charm, along with the scenic views of harbor and walk to beach. Whether just two “foodies” or feeding a larger family, the well-equipped/stocked kitchen will wow you. Whole house is Super clean and all safety/sanitation supplies/safeguards in place. Obviously, a highly recommend and a good value as well.

Beautiful ocean views and peaceful stay!

This house was everything I could have hoped for and so much more! It was the perfect size for our girls weekend which included 7 adults and lots of luggage. The view of the ocean from the deck was beautiful and a great spot for morning coffee. I highly recommend watching the sunset! I would also recommend a car because the house is a bit of a distance from town. The ride from town to the house is so peaceful and not at all what was expected. Cynthia was so kind and responsive. She was quick to answer any questions I had and was very accommodating with our check-in / check out times to match our ferry schedule. I would highly recommend staying here and would love to stay here again for my next visit to Nantucket!

Beware !!! Read the fine print

We arrived and we made sure we read the contract correctly .we also paid a deposit which the owner deducted almost half we left the house in great shape and she claims it took 6.75hours to clean , that’s very questionable and 3 loads of laundry. It was only sheets and towel .She said in contract you can leave beds unmade or strip them and if you can start a load of laundry . We brought them downstairs .We vacuumed and sweeper. Took out the garbage and left house immaculate . Owners are never there so they have a caretaker that handles everything so they really are not there . I was very disappointed when she returned my deposit only half Don’t recommend this at all . Better staying at a hotel .

Wonderful, relaxing & well equipped

My husband and I stayed for a few days at the cottage; we loved the location—perfect for afternoon walks on Madaket Beach. The house was also so well equipped with anything you might need for a stay on Nantucket. We’ll definitely be back.

Wonderful Owners in a Great Home

My friends and I recently stayed at this great home and we very pleasantly surprised with both the owners and the condition of the home. The owners did a great job of communicating and even called ahead to make sure we were ready for our stay. They price they stay very reasonably and are very accommodating for any changes you may need. I highly recommend renting from Cynthia! If I have any complaints it’s more the road quality leading up to the home but it’s easily avoidable with the Alternative route instructions the owners provide.

Great location, great house

This house has a great location. Bring your bikes! We bikes out to Smith Point for sunset most night. Easy bike ride to Madaket beach as well. The house was VERY clean and cozy. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need to make dinner if you decide to stay in. Great view of Madaket harbor from the table on the deck for your morning coffee or evening cocktails. We would definitely stay again.
