We really enjoyed the log home with our family. There was plenty of room to spread out, with linens for every room. The game room on the lower level is very well stocked.
The location, home and view were perfect for our family retreat. Several generations of women met for a weekend get away. The home provided us comfortable accommodations as well as basement complete with pool table, games and jacuzzi for entertainment. Thank you for a perfect place to make memories.
We made this the half way point to break up the trip, before driving to Nashville for Monster Jam. It was so relaxing and calm. We would absolutely stay again. Lots of games to entertain kids, and the bed was so comfortable!
If you are looking for a remote, quiet stay, THIS is the place. I cannot remember being this relaxed on vacation. This place is off the beaten path and you will lose cell service so be sure to print out map/directions to take with you. It is also best to stop at a grocery store (we stopped in Wilkesboro) to load up on groceries and get to the cabin before dark. With no cell service/GPS, it is easier to find before dark as some of the roads are not labeled. EVERYTHING in this cabin has been well thought of. The hot tub was pure perfection!!! Highly recommend this cabin and hope to go again next year.

Our stay at the cabin
Our family of 5 stayed in the beautiful home for 6 days. We had two teen girls so this cabin was perfect for them to have games to play. The pool table and hottub was used everyday several times a day. We loved it here. Enough room for everyone to spread out and have time alone. The view is beautiful. Private home for sure. Peaceful area. Master bathroom was my favorite (mom). The ride to the cabin was amazing. Easy access to the house. The beds were so comfy. The cabin is kinda far from any stores to make sure to have everything ya need before ya get to cabin. We will be staying at this cabin again.
The cabin, itself, bedrooms, bathrooms, hot tub and the basement were great, and were enjoyed. Kitchen could use a deep clean. We left it cleaner than we found it, after wiping down cabinets, other surfaces, and cleaning the base of the fridge. We did not complain, but just thought housekeeping could provide a good deep clean. Some pots/pans had teflon and were scratched, but we were able to make use of some of the steelware they had also provided. A few kitchen utinsels could use replacing. Also disappointed that the gas range (shown in listing photos) had been replaced by an electric unit. Beds were super comfy, and the views are amazing. Super relaxing!
Our family had a wonderful time at this rental. The drive to the rental was just as beautiful as the view from the back deck. Beds slept great and super fast internet. Will be renting again.
This property and home is absolutely stunning and exactly what is advertised! We had a great, relaxing weekend and would stay again. Some advice- you are 15-20 minutes worth of beautiful, winding roads to any gas station or grocery store. You may want to take stuff with you rather than wait and get what you need there. Also, kitchen had plenty ty of pots, pans, utensils, etc.... but no “basics”, such as salt and pepper or oil. Still a wonderful time!

Beautiful Home needs a little TLC
The property itself was beautiful! It boasts Mountain View’s that are stunning at night and in the daytime. When we arrived we wanted to get started on prepping dinner. However, there wasn’t any dish soap for us to wash used dishes. We also were very surprised to learn we had to make our own beds. We have stayed in many rentals and have never had to do that. Also, the sheets had a lot of hair on them which wasn’t desirable. The kitchen amenities were lacking as far as pots and pans. We were not given any extra trash bags to ensure we didn’t leave any trash behind. Overall, we enjoyed the time away in a different environment. It’s in a great location it’s the little things that can really make a stay. The extra amenities and fine detail is what is looked for in a vacation rental.

Hi Walter, we want all of our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we're sorry that you experienced some issues during your trip. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
-We encourage our guests to reach out to us during their stay so we can better attend to any questions or issues experienced while at our cabin.
-We provide extra dish soap and 3 dishwasher pods for every guest. They are located in the cabinet and would have been happy to help you find them if contacted.
-We place the sheets on the beds to ensure that all bedding is freshly cleaned for our guests. We have extra sheets in the closet in case guests want to choose a different set.
-We want to provide all of our guests a full array of dishes that include: 2 large skillets, 2 medium skillets, 1 small skillet, 1 large pot, 2 medium quart pots, and 1 small pot. We also have a complete Pyrex set for the over. If we have overlooked an item we would love to know.
-We provide each guest with three extra trash bags which are located in the drawer under the microwave.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave a review. We are always working hard to provide a truly wonderful and memorable experience for all of our guests.
What an amazing place!!! My son goes to App State first year. Due to COVID restrictions I was unable to move him into his dorm so decided to rent a place for a graduation gift and bring along some of his closest friends and brother. The game room , hammock overlooking the mountains were so much fun for them . I can’t wait too plan my next visit. Making memories ❤️

Enjoyed the weekend kitchen could use more equipped with kitchen utensils. Some repairs needed stair rail broke going up to attic
My family loved our getaway at the Cozy Cub Cabin. It is in such a beautiful, secluded location. We loved the rushing stream close by, the gorgeous views from the balcony, the darling cabin, and the very friendly and helpful property manager. Theresa was so incredibly kind and gave us many great tips to improve our stay. My kids loved the hot tub and we played hours of pool in the basement. It was just a perfect getaway and we hope to do it again in the future!
There were no reviews when we booked this so we took a chance and we are glad we did! Stunning views from the back porch, comfortable beds, well appointed, and very clean inside and outside. The owners clearly put a lot of thought into every little detail here. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
had an amazing stay at this place. Such a beautifully done cabin. The cabin was a little too far from stores and restaurants for my liking but if you're looking for seclusion, this is the best possible place in the area.
