Four of us stayed here for a wedding - it was great! Walking distance to restaurants and beach. We were on the lower floor and there were people staying above us and there were no noise issues. Overall, good experience, would stay again.

Awesome place. Close walk to beach and Coligny. The only thing I would say to future guest is that if you stay on the bottom half, you can hear EVERY footstep of the people in the upper half. Wasn't a big deal for us but it may be for someone else. I would definitely stay here again. The convenience of walking to the beach and restaurants is well worth it.

We had an absolute blast staying here. Super easy check in and you are only maybe 3 minutes from the beach. Not a bad walk at all. They had all the beach stuff you could need minus a beach tent and towels so be sure to bring that. Only a few cons to state: it’s definitely loud if you’re on the bottom floor. We had two little with us and had to use our sound machines at full max sound to drown out the upstairs noise at night. The back door was a little tricky and would get stuck so sometimes you’d have to try several times to open the door until finally it would unlock. Just out of preference I would have enjoyed a a vacuum cleaner to clean floors from sand. We did have a broom and dust pan but that just doesn’t work quite as well. Bathrooms are also snug but do the job. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay there again, maybe upstairs though! 8.75/10

Thank you for such a thoughtful review! We're thrilled your family had a fantastic stay and enjoyed the easy check-in, short walk to the beach, and complimentary beach equipment. It's wonderful to hear you were able to make the most of your time on Hilton Head! We appreciate your feedback regarding the upstairs noise, back door, and cleaning supplies. We understand how important a peaceful environment is when traveling with little ones, and we'll have our maintenance team review the door. We also appreciate your suggestion about providing a vacuum for easier sand cleanup. Most importantly, we're so happy to hear you'd stay with us again! Thank you for choosing Island Rentals of Hilton Head. We'd love to welcome your family back and help you find an upstairs unit for your next beach getaway!

Island Rentals was attentive and communicative which is what you expect from a host. Ten-minute walk to the beach was a breeze. Less crowded than the Coligny Beach area. Tight but comfortable space. Missed having a dining table for everyone to gather, but staying near a beach at an affordable rate involves trade offs. If possible, would have rated 4.5 primarily because of Island Rentals text and phone responsiveness. Big bonus having four bikes and beach chairs at the property as well as a shaded back deck as we stayed in the lower unit (6B Gannet). Kitchen was adequately stocked. Loved the individual A/C units and thermostats in each room. Back entrance more accessible than front. Pass on renting if anyone in your group has mobility issues.

Great place to stay

Very nice place to stay. very convenient location to beach and to Coligny. We enjoyed the free bikes and great shaded porch.. Beautifully decorated and very clean. Our one and only reccomendation and it is not a complaint is to have regular plates and glasses. The plastic plates and glasses got a little old after a week.

My husband and I and my two teenage boys16 and 19 came to Hilton Head for vacation for the first time. Loved the safe and easy bike ride to the beach. Took about 3 minutes by bike. Perfect! Definetly recommend staying here!!

There were 7 of us, including a 5 month old and. 5 year old. The unit was the perfect size. I loved being able to walk to the beach. It was only 5 mins. The unit was very clean! And when there was an issue with the lock someone came very quickly to help. We loved the unit and will be staying again.

We booked this very last minute (a week out) and was able to get a fantastic deal on the rental for a few days post the 4th of July holiday weekend. The location was great - just a short walk/bike ride to the beach access. The rental comes with bikes and beach chairs which are a huge bonus. There was also ample bedding and towels for our stay. Each room had it's own AC unit and while the bedrooms we comfortable, we found the main area's AC had a difficult time keeping up. We did have a heat advisory all during our stay. Overall it was a good little experience and trip away with just enough of what we needed. A few suggestions for a better stay:1) There were dish soap (kitchen) and hand soap (bathrooms) dispensers that were empty, but we contacted the property management and they were quick to bring us both dish soap and hand soaps.2) Pots and pans could use an upgrade, as well as utensils. The non-stick pots/pans are scratched and peeling, which is unsafe. I would recommend stainless steel pots and pans and silicone or wooden utensils. Or bring your own preferred cooking items.3) Front loading washer really needs some TLC. The rubber ring is dirty and stained from mildew. 4) Would be nice to have broom/dustpan and access to some basic cleaning supplies to help along the week of keeping the property tidy. 5) The lock on the back tends to stick quite a bit when accessing from inside. Please check on this.

Thank you for staying at 6B Gannet St. and for your 4‑star review. We appreciate you choosing Island Rentals of Hilton Head. I’m glad the location, bikes, beach chairs, and ample bedding/towels met your needs. I’m sorry the main living area’s AC had trouble keeping up during the heat advisory — we will have the HVAC inspected to improve cooling. Thank you for letting us know about the empty soap dispensers; I’m pleased our team was able to bring replacements quickly. We also appreciate your detailed suggestions. If you have any further feedback, please share it via your Vrbo message. We hope to host you again.

Family beach trip

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is lovely, however it’s definitely not a place to bring kids. The upstairs neighbors partied until 2 AM which made it really difficult to have kids sleep. Next year we will look for a house with no upstairs neighbors.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The villa was very clean and updated. This was a perfect location. Quick bike ride to the beach and Coligny center. We loved that the condo came with four bikes and backpack beach chairs! We couldn’t locate an iron in the villa and the property manager had one delivered within an hour or so. We would stay again! If there was any negative, since we were in the B villa, downstairs, you could hear the people in the upstairs condo walking, moving around.

IT WAS WONDERFUL and so VERY clean and comfortable. This unit exceeded our expectations. We will certainly be renting this unit again. The 4 bikes and beach chairs were a great perk and we utilized them daily. Back deck and yard are very clean and cozy too. Beds were comfortable and all the provided lines/towels were great. Even the little things like starter dish/laundry soap, paper products helped tremendously.Really cannot say anything bad about this experience. Instructions and check in/out process were easy and the location from shopping and beach were more convenient than expected too. Thank you so very much.

Great Rental

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great place to stay! Beds were comfortable, it was clean, and had all the little extras you could need. The kitchen was stocked with a good amount of dishes, cooking utensils, and some basic spices, coffee filters and such. There were some books and board games, and plenty of extra towels and blankets. Even little extras like Kleenex and Q tips. This place has the little extras. The included bikes and beach chairs were very handy. The walk/bike ride to the beach was short abs easy. It was also nice to be so close to Coligny Plaza. Our party was 4 adults and two kids, and we had a sufficient amount of room.... Although the hall bathroom is small. Seating for a meal was a bit tight. If you are good with sitting around the island in the kitchen that works fine, but having a dinner around the table wouldn’t work well as the table is partially folding against the wall. A couple notes- these didn’t bother us just thought they should be mentioned. - the back door only stays closed when locked.- the keyless entry pads don’t always work, it took several attempts to get in a few times. Over all a great spot, ideal location, easy check in, and clean. We would rent again!
