Beachfront House has its own private backyard between the House & the Patio Kitchen Shared with other Cottage guests are the following areas: 110 feet of sandy, swimming beach; Terraced Deck and Gazebo overlook beach and Lake Erie-perfect for taking in lake views & watching the sunset; Bar-B-Que grills (gas & charcoal) and enclosed Patio kitchen/picnic area to make entertaining easy. Campfire rings at beach & bluff (firewood provided); Large waterfront backyard for yard games - cornhole, croquest, & volley ball provided. Located within Plaz Vilka Beachfront House & Cottages in Vermilion, OH 17 minutes from East Gate of Cedar Point!
*Note five one room sleeping Cottages are across the drive on this one acre piece of lakefront property.

The home was probably the cleanest I have ever stayed in. We were all comfortable, there was even a barn door to the living room so our son felt like he had his own room as well. The lake view was great.

Our stay was extremely enjoyable. The unit was clean and well appointed with two nice bedrooms and two nice bathrooms. Peaceful Get-away

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this property. Sunsets were beautiful. The unit was clean and extremely comfortable. Family members joined us for a small cookout and vowed to return for their own lake-front get-away. The hosts were awesome!

This property is just as described. It is very quiet with beautiful sunsets. The outdoor seating is ample. Indoors is very clean and spacious. We would definitely return.

Great Escape!

This was our second stay. We had a great time. The property is so pretty and beautifully maintained. We love sitting in the gazebo and watching the lake. Kathleen, Kelly and Jenn are very friendly and go out of their way to accommodate their guests. You will love it as much as we do!

Very clean and good location!

Beautiful place for a our family of 4 . We stayed in the house and it was perfect. Plenty of room and comfy beds. Nicely decorated! We stayed for our 2 day cedar point trip and wished we could have booked through the weekend to enjoy the lake more seeing that it's right off Lake Erie. We'll have to come back to enjoy . Lots to enjoy around the property for all you won't be disappointed about this home or the little cottages.

Great Weekend Get-A-Way

The hosts were very accommodating. Check-in was easy. The kitchen was stocked with essentials. Everything was very clean. We built a fire in the pit by the lake and it was so relaxing. Thank you! We are definitely going back1

Plenty of space for a large group!

A group of 10 of us stayed in the largest house and one cabin at Plaz Vilka for my bachelorette weekend. We were grateful for two grills to cook a huge dinner, and the private beach was charming. Jen was present to help us settle in and checked in on us as we packed up. Between the hospitality and stocked kitchen, we wanted for nothing. A huge thank you to the owners and cleaners for being such an integral part of a special weekend.

This property was every bit as cool as we thought that it would be. The lakefront space is incredible and the stone patio is beautiful from dawn into the light with very tasteful solar powered lighting. The house itself is cozy and perfect for a long labor day weekend with family. Everything was clean and well taken care of.The house is second back from the beach which we were initially a little confused by since the house is called "beachfront". But it is still so close that it would only be a problem for someone with limited mobility trying to get to the beach. And even back by the house the views are ambiance are still really good.Would definitely come back again!

The house has recently been remodeled very tastefully. I have never slept in beds as comfortable, not even my own! The linens and towels were beautiful. The property was wonderful, well kept and beautiful. The gazebo was delightful. It was too cool to swim but the lake access was great. I would love to come back. I have rated this 5 stars and would highly recommend it.

All of the comforts of home!

We were so grateful to call this lovely home our home base while we enjoyed the fun of nearby Cedar Point Amusement Park. From towels for swimming and bathing in the bathroom, to extra blankets in the bedrooms, to such wonderful cooking pots and pans provided in the kitchen, you will be well provided for in this home, which makes traveling that much easier, since you have much less to pack yourself. We were able to cook a big fabulous breakfast for one of my kids who celebrated a birthday while we were traveling. Will definitely keep this property on our short list for when we return to the area!

The property is lovely and well maintained. The main house has all the amenities one could hope for and plenty of space. The host and hostess were most hospitable and took the time to answer questions and offer help as needed. And we loved the gazebo. (Jim) Here are a few other amenities that we appreciated: Mirrors in every bedroom, candles, room darkening shades, good bedroom mattresses, beautiful landscaping, well stocked kitchen, good knives, netflix, matches to start a bonfire and the patience to answer all of our questions. The best of Lake Erie "cottage culture"

We rented this house for 3 nights, and had a wonderful experience. The house was very clean, bright and attractive, and accommodated two families (four adults, three kids) by utilizing the pull-out sofa bed in the living room. The kitchen is narrow, but well stocked with dishes and utensils for preparing meals. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor space-- a grassy area for games and cooking-out, and a shared picnic area and fire pit overlooking the lake, along with private access to the lake. The property is close to Cedar Point (about 20-25 mins), but well removed from the built-up area near the park's entrance. It's also close to the Vermillion, a pleasant town with a nice Main Street and public beach. Communication with the owner, Kathleen, was always timely and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to rent this house again if we visit this area in the future.

Lovely, calming visit

We (2 adults and 2 late-teen kids) really enjoyed our 5-night stay. Positives: 1. The house is spacious for its size, comfortable, cozy 2. Located close to the charming downtown of Vermilion 3. Owners have put a lot of care into this place -- plenty of towels, well-appointed (and recently redone) kitchen, nicely groomed property, lots of games, etc. 4. The wifi was fine -- despite concerns we'd read about in other reviews. 5. The common area building and 3-grill area is great A few small downsides: 1. The beachfront is very small, and almost all rock-fronted, with virtually no sandy front 2. The thermostat is very finicky 3. We would prefer fewer cleaning requirements 4. We would like to have recycling bins

Thank you for the great review. We do appreciate your stay with us while enjoying Cedar Point Amusement Park and area attractions. We appreciate your honest evaluation of the property & of your stay. Just to touch on the aforementioned downsides...... Lake Erie is at a very high level in 2017. Sandstone rock is placed at the waterfront to prevent erosion. In some years there is 110 feet of sandy beach across the back of the property, in other years less...all in the hands of Mother Nature. (and the hydro control dam at Niagara Falls operated by Ontario Hydro/New York State Power Authority...but that's another story....) Guests of Plaz Vilka Beachfront House & Cottages are not charged a cleaning fee; however, as a housekeeping cottage rental we do request that guests help keep costs in line by gathering used linens & towels for laundry pick-up, and freshening the baths/showers after use. Housekeeping staff cleans after each guest family stay to maintain our very high level of cleanliness enjoyed by all guests of Plaz Vilka. Vermilion Township ended their recycling collection site on June 1, 2017 citing escalating costs. We hope as stewards of the lake & land that some type of resolution to the recycling issue will be addressed soon by township trustees. Again, we enjoyed hosting you and other guest families. Terrific Stacation

This was absolutely beautiful. Updated interior and amenities. Very clean, owners were very personable and available. Quiet and restful atmosphere but well located for day trips to Put-n-Bay, Cedar Point, Vermillion etc. Beautiful lake views and grounds. Just nothing bad to say about this. Will definitely recommend, and stay again.

Great Getaway in spite of the weather and what a lake view!

Comfortable, spacious property with casual and inviting atmosphere. Most of the property is quaint(small) cottages that are sized like studio apartments. Still, bigger than most any hotel room. The real beauty of this place is the way that it encourages visitors to meet new people with shared, large common areas. Plenty of space for outdoor activity and grilling as well as a big seperate kitchen/activity room for use if the cottage is a little too confining. It felt like a fishing camp that I went to in Canada as a boy. We met a very nice couple from North Olmstead at the firepit, and every interaction with other visitors was friendly and positive.
