Awesome Cabin

The cabin was amazing and provided so much space. The neighborhood was very quiet, and it offered even more than we expected. Our whole group loved the stay, and we would definitely love to come back in the future.

Snow weekend

Cabin was big and comfortable, plenty of room for seven adults. Enjoyed the park area just down the road to play in the snow. Only suggestion a few more large pots and pans for for cooking. Would book the Jaybird lodge again, and recommend.

This is our second time staying in the same house on Big Bear. The first time, we were extremely satisfied, which is why we decided to return this year. Unfortunately, this year the experience was completely different. The heating system in the house broke down, and we were without heating during our stay. Technicians came several times to try to fix the issue, but even after five or six visits, the problem was never resolved. We were provided with portable heaters, but they were not sufficient to heat the entire house. In addition, the circuit breakers kept tripping, so we were cold throughout our winter vacation.Last year, the bathrooms were fully stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel in regular-size containers. This year, only small hotel-size toiletries were provided, even though we stayed for seven days, which meant we had to purchase additional items ourselves. These amenities were included and available last year. There was also no hair dryer in the house. I had to call to report this, and only then was a hair dryer delivered. We also had to clear the snow ourselves. There was a large amount of snow, even covering the car and the access road, and no snow-clearing service came. We had to shovel snow for three days, which resulted in all of us getting sick.Overall, this year we had a very poor experience, especially compared to our stay last year

Hi Bojana! Thank you for returning to stay with us again. We truly appreciate your loyalty, which makes us especially sorry to hear that this visit did not meet the standard of your previous experience. We sincerely apologize for the heating issues during your stay. While our team worked diligently with multiple technician visits to resolve the problem as quickly as possible, we understand that portable heaters are not the same as having a fully functioning central system — especially during winter in Big Bear. We know how important warmth and comfort are during a mountain vacation, and we regret the inconvenience this caused. Regarding the toiletries and hair dryer, we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Our current standard is to provide starter supplies, and we apologize if that was not clearly communicated or if it differed from what you previously experienced. We’re glad we were able to deliver the hair dryer promptly once notified. As for snow removal, heavy winter storms can sometimes delay service schedules due to road access and safety conditions. However, we understand how physically demanding snow clearing can be, and we’re sorry this impacted your trip. Your feedback is important to us, and we will be reviewing these concerns internally. We truly value you as a returning guest and hope we’ll have the opportunity to restore your confidence in a future stay.
