We had a great time! The host was exceptional in terms of her flexibility and helpfulness! Lots of fishermen/women would love the place and the fishing! Inside this octagonal dwelling, it is all constructed in cedar, an unusual and lovely place! It gave us the first taste of Rideau Lakes! Thank you!
We came up to fish for 3 days and had a nice time. The cottage was very nice and very clean inside and we had everything we needed. The location is very private and has a beautiful view of the lake. The dock could use a bit of work to make it more stable and safe. We enjoyed our stay!
The accomodations were fantastic, our host was fast to answer any questions, and the amenities at our home away from home were excellent! We loved our stay and will very likely book again
The cottage is absolutely beautiful. The beds are very comfortable. Everything we needed was provided. We lost power for a few hours and not knowing when it would come back the amazing host brought us a small indoor generator.Host was always available and extreme helpful. Would stay again.
Went with the family and 2 small pets, and had a wonderful time. Everyone was very comfortable, and the communications were great.

Lovely location
Listing was a bit misleading. Property is shared with managers who are close by and have chickens, dogs and a crowing roster. Kitchen amenities could be improved.
We had an amazing experience/week at this very uniquely designed cottage. Located in a fairly remote location, you get the impression that there is absolutely no-one around for miles as it is so quiet. We brought our own ISUPs, and glad that we did, because the lake was crystal clear the whole time with very minimal boating traffic. Great place for a nice relaxing time with friends and family (& fur babies)
Amazing weekend with gracious and responsive owners. Felt like we were in an Octagon treehouse with all amenities. Very unique and clean. Really good fishing. Would definitely recommend and will be returning. A little bonus was the cute little port town that was 15 mins away. Park your car and visit the shops and go for a bite to eat! So friendly and cute to walk through.
Although the weather was cool and rainy during our two night stay we throughly enjoyed the coziness and comfort of the living dining room areas. The kitchen was a little under stocked for cutlery - only 3 forks ( but found plastic ones to use). Could use some larger bowls for making large salads etc... or whipping up pancakes. The bedrooms and beds seemed smaller than in the photos but the beds were comfy so not a big issue there. It must be absolutely beautiful there in summer and fall colours. We loved the woodburning fireplace and the layout of the kitchen dining area to the living room areas. Our host was great for answering questions before and during our stay.. Overall, We highly recommend this cottage home for folks who like the outdoors, hiking, canoeing fishing.
This is a beautiful, well cared for home in a remote location. The owner thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. The beds were very comfy and our whole family enjoyed spending time in this home. The layout of the house is really nice. There are private spaces and larger spaces for gatherings. The dining table is very comfortable as are the sofas. There is a game area and a library. The outdoor space has a gazebo with plenty of comfortable seating. Our visit was in the summertime and we enjoyed using our paddle board from the dock. The kitchen had everything we needed. Great spot for deer viewing and bird watching. Plenty of air-conditioning and hot water. We look forward to returning in the spring or fall. Our two dogs enjoyed it too.
